Two most serious things that make it hard to start a business

in Project HOPE3 years ago

Why is it so difficult to start a business? What usually prevents you from getting rich and being successful.
It happens that you seem to want to open your own business and stop working for your uncle, but it's scary to go free - it seems that the moment is not right for this. I have researched 2 of the major barriers that stand in the way of potential entrepreneurs the most, and I outlined how to possibly overcome them.

Lack of time

When you work and do household chores, at first glance, there is no time to start a business. Still further exacerbated by distractions from social media, TV shows, and other entertainment. Quitting work immediately is scary and often harmful - you can be left without money and with debts. So you need to somehow combine work, business, and leisure.

What to do:
We need to firmly determine our priorities. If you want to work more in the same place or have fun, then maybe you shouldn't start your own business.

If you are passionate about starting a business, you can always find time for it:

  • At work: Reading helpful material instead of chatting with coworkers or doing extra work for a promotion. When the business becomes profitable and takes more time, you will still have to leave work.

  • On the road: You can listen to useful audiobooks and articles, dictate your thoughts and ideas, negotiate with contractors and suppliers.

  • At home: Working on a business instead of sitting on social media and watching TV. These activities often do not even help to fully relax but only load the brain, and it is better to load it with something useful and then fully relax with a good book or an interesting movie.

There are 24 hours in a day, and if 8 goes to sleep and 8 to work, there are still at least 8 hours left. If you use them rationally, you will have enough time for household chores, leisure, and business. The main thing is not to forget to get enough sleep and rest, so as not to burn out and not lose interest in your work.

Impostor Syndrome

Sometimes there seems to be money, and as a specialist in your field, you have succeeded, and ideas are swarming in your head. But it seems to you that you are actually incompetent, "impostor", and all your achievements are the result of simple luck. And sooner or later, luck will turn away from you, and you will lose everything.

Such thoughts are a classic "impostor syndrome", when successful and competent people cannot believe in their success. And it is found just in people who are actually capable of a lot.

What to do:
Write down all your accomplishments and convince yourself that you've worked hard to achieve all of this. And then just gather strength, not compare yourself with anyone, and start. All people around started their business in the same way, and many have achieved success, being generally incompetent in matters of their business.
Believe in yourself.

Lack of capital and also lack of motivation are important factors when starting a business.
What you mention about planning is a vital factor and we should always do some research before embarking on a new endeavor.

The best thing is to have a tutor or to be guided by someone who has more experience and thus be able to have more security and a guide when doing things.

And of course be focused on achieving the goal you want.

@reinaldoverdu, Thanks for coming around. You said it all. When those necessary things are noted, Success is just one moment away.

Get rid of your TV.

Use the money and the time saved to set up a business.

It will be worth it in the long run, and you won't regret never having tried !

Yes @pennsif, You got the point. Thanks for coming around

Time/money are the biggest barriers, but there’s definitely things you can do to break down that barrier.

@cryptictruth, well said. Once a problem is identified, finding a solution won't be too stressful. Thanks for coming around

Make a plan and work that plan. That's all you can do.

I believe the most important is to believe and action from my own experience. You have to learn a lot of skills and need to always customize your time.

@chesatochi, you said it well. Time, action, and money is the key to better achievements
