I went to visit my Aunt who is already in her late 50’s and she discovered I use to go out every morning to run and keep fit, she was interested and she wanted to join me, I was reluctant to allow her come with me but when I noticed she was not ready to give up on the persuasion, I promised her she could come with me the following morning.
Very early the next day, she was the one who came to wake me up, I had to remind her that she had never done any exercise before but she claimed to have been listening to a motivational speaker that has encouraged her to achieve anything she wants to achieve despite her age, I reminded her that running was not just something you can wake up to at any age but she kept on arguing and I just allowed her. My Aunt was doing very well and I was beginning to fall for the motivation also until she passed out, I knew I was in trouble and that was the last time her husband ever allowed her to go for any outdoor exercise.
My point from this story is, no matter how much of motivational speaking you listen to, age affects certain things and this brings me to a point that, those of us who are still young have still have the opportunities to make some good decisions compared to those who are older. When it comes to building wealth, young people also have a higher advantage compared with older people, but as much as we have more room to immerse wealth in our young age, we are also very good at spoiling things and throwing away easily the wealth we have worked hard to acquire.
Mistakes we make with resources at a young age.
Acquiring liabilities.
At a young age, we get so carried away with acquiring liabilities and we only realize these liabilities are not necessary and they could easily be ignored by the time we are advanced in age. To attain the desired level of wealth, it is important to stay clear of certain liabilities that present themselves as opportunities as a young person.
Time wastage.
At a young age, we seem to have more time on our side and we either choose to utilize it properly or to waste it. A young age comes with the opportunity to dream and the strength to follow our passion, if we are sure about living a life of purpose and acquiring financial wealth, we must consider spending our time on only things that promotes productivity.
The blame game.
At a young age, we are usually tempted to blame our failure on other people, this is a wrong idea for anyone who wants to build wealth and good business success. A young age is when we are to take responsibilities for anything we do wrong, work on the improvement and look for better offers.
Conclusion.
Our youthful age is a time we often waste on things that are not necessary and that is the reason why we have a lot of old people whose lives are filled with regrets, and parents who are trying to live the lives they desired through their children rather than allowing the children pursue their personal dreams.

Unfortunately we always regret too late the things or opportunities we have missed, the mentality of a young person is very basic, or at least the majority, without concerns in general, it is not until adulthood that they begin to worry about the future. It is worth starting from scratch at any age, because I believe that it is never too late to learn, but if our education were based on something different, we would have fewer unhappy people.
That time wastage has killed many youthful age from being productive.
At a young age, that is when to maximize your opportunities not to waste it.
