Hello Everyone and I hope you are all having a great day... Anyways, while you're busy enjoying your time with your love ones in peace, it's actually the opposite in Nigeria. I'm also quite sure you might have also been seeing different trending post on Twitter about this occurrence and it's really good to see other top influential people taking part in the online protest. I suggest you visit Twitter and search for the trending tag #Endsarz to see this yourself.

Why The Massive Protest This Time?

As we all know police and every security personnel duty is to save the lives and properties of citizens. The sad reality is that some security force or personnel who are supposed to be protecting the lives of people are still the same people extorting from the citizens illegally, assaulting the citizens and brutally harassing them.

The astonishing part of it all is that it has led to the killing of citizens and this has also increased fear in the heart of citizens. People can't dress as they wish and people can't go to places of their choices anymore just because they are scared of Sarz who are supposed to be protecting them but doing the other way round.

It's also important to note that not all of them are really that bad or brutal, while some of them are hardworking and diligent with their work, some of them seems to portray bad attitude towards responsible and innocent citizens.

Some Cases I Heard About

Different people have gone online sharing their bad experiences with SARZ but the one that really got my attention most was the a university student who happened to be a forex and crypto trader. I heard this same student was also against cyber crime or fraudulent activities such that he has always detested students in such act and this might actually be one of the reasons he learnt Forex/Crypto trading just to make cool cash legitimately.

It was really sad this particular student ended up committing suicide due to the illegal harassment and false acquisition he encountered. The also led to an online protest on Twitter by most Nigerian students mostly from his school but it all fell on deaf ears.

It's really disgusting harassing and brutally assaulting innocent people for crimes they never committed all because of extorting from them for your personal gain and selfish interest!

I wish I could write more but I'm sorry I won't be able to make this post lengthy because I'm really writing from a Saddened and frustrated heart. I hope the government will do something about this as fast as possible to protect it's citizens from this unjust act.

I also hope every armed forces and security will start doing their jobs right by protecting the lives and properties of people instead of killing illegally and extorting from them unjustly.

I also hope that every citizens will turn a new leaf by doing what is right and staying away from indecent act such as theft, cyber crime and many others.

Say No To Police Brutality
Let's Live without Fear
Let's End Indecent Act
Let's End Police Brutality

Talking about a topic like this has never been easy, since it becomes difficult because not everything has the abuse of power and those who really fulfill their duty, but this controversy towards society has not occurred since now it has already carried good importance until reaching a point to become more that a trend a part of culture that abandoned its principles.

Hello friend, I agree with you, I believe that the judicial bodies are not doing their job, but quite the opposite. It's hard to see so much injustice and not be able to do anything and have the government itself hide its mistakes.

Good article, I don't know how to say it but I think that will never happen the reason is that states that impose order through fear and weapons are authoritarian they allow the abuse of power to keep the citizen in fear of them, when police feels that he can be over the law is because he knows that if he commits that crime nothing will happen to him.
