Much month at the end of check
I recently heard that phrase, and I found it very interesting. I heard it from the voice of a neighbor, who works for a company here in Colombia. His work day is long, I think 10 hours a day, and since we live in the capital city of the country, where the traffic is really crazy, he has to use at least 2 and a half hours more of his day to get to work and back home. It's exhausting, and that ""job security I think takes too much time out of your life.
However, he, like many people reach the end of the month and the reality is that they live in debt to be able to finish it without having certain shortages of basic products, it is complicated, they complain, yes, but in general they do not look for other options, or rather, they do not want to see them. Particularly I have talked to many people regarding cryptocurrencies as an alternative way to have income that could help them to stabilize, but finally they do not dare to go further.
I say it, but it doesn't stop bothering me that they keep complaining about the current situation and how difficult it is to cope with it. I even have a friend who has a good business with her husband, they have not been doing badly, but these last months the world reality with the pandemic has made the sales go down a lot, so they always say "the sales are low ", that "the situation has become difficult ", and I have talked about some investment options in cryptocurrencies, and yet, they do not dare to more than traditional business.
The previous example is not specific to those who say "Much month at the end of the check", because they are not salaried, however, they are dependent only on the income they have from their business, and the decrease in sales and income from that only business can put them in a very difficult situation, in spite of that, they continue to do the same.
It is the same with that neighbor I told you about, that even when he might have at some point enough money to invest for a special payment in his job, he does not dare to create another source of income that might in the future allow him to stop complaining that the month has become too long for his paycheck, **don't you believe it?

It is not very common to see people take risks, the more experience they have in the professional and work field, the more cautious they are.
However, this excess caution often does not allow them to look further from their noses.

Exactly, excessive caution will keep them right where they are. They could hardly move if they don't take a little risk.

Hello @josevas217, I include myself in the group of those people who do not dare to go further, however, I recently decided to reorient this position in my philosophy of life, honestly I still do not fully adapt to this new way of generating income, it costs me to change my long office hours alternated with other hours of development of classroom classes, with this scheme of writing and interacting to generate income. The hours that a worker needs to commute to his job is a very discussed point in labor policy, in some countries the employer pays an incentive or a kind of commuting bonus. I really liked the way you approached this point.

I always say "we are animals of habit ". And our academic education formed us to meet a schedule, receive a fortnight, among other things that give us "security". But, everything can be better than it is, really.

Currently we all are dealing with covid-19 suitation most of the people lost their job and some have jobs but are not getting paid that much as no business this Is a very difficult suitation for each and every person in the world.
