People who spend many hours a day on social media can also suffer from brain disorders. Excessive use of everything is not good, so such people can also be obsessed. According to academic surveys, one out of every five people appears to suffer from psychological problems.

Although the alarm is ringing, there seems to be no concrete evidence that you are at risk. Psychologists say that this number is increasing dramatically among the youth as they tend to use social media a lot.

He says that social media has increased the number of unhappy children of the nation. "The digital world has revolutionized societies, giving us a constant sense of being monitored, watched and tested," says Philippa Gretti, a professor of clinical psychology at King's College London.

Our movements and residences are monitored and we do not know at what point we are recorded and presented to the internet, this fear or feeling has created anxiety in people. Whether you are on a street or in a park, hospital, shopping center, educational institution or any home, you are monitored everywhere.

Taking selfies and videos all the time and downloading them as entertainment or revenge is definitely a source of mental anguish. According to the Metal Health Chair, mental disorders are related to the production of intense thoughts, which can disturb a person.

The Prevention of Cruelty to Children has blamed social media for creating a trend of child abuse. Between 2015 and 2016, 188,18 children between the ages of 8 and 11 from England and Wales were admitted who had set themselves on fire. These behaviors are not decreasing but the number of such children is increasing every year.

The charity says 471,18 children were given counseling sessions last year. Psychologists say that from the thousands of calls received from children, it can be well estimated that the number of depressed children in our nation is increasing rapidly.

We all know that this is due to the constant pressure of social media. They now live online with their friends and do not run away or lose contact due to the pressure and they feel the pressure on a daily basis.

It's a strange mental pressure that is beyond comprehension that distant friends are so stressed that they can't close the net. However, Professor Gracie spent 1 3.1 million on this research project. Their goal is to help people with this condition.

Unless the internet or social media is used carefully, this invention can be a hassle rather than a convenience and we need awareness to build a civilized society.

Hello @mimab808
Currently the mental problems are more accentuated, and with this the problem of coronavirus and confinement has been even worse. But the important thing is to be aware of it, we adults can take care of ourselves but children are more sensitive to all this.

Today's children definitely do not have as natural a childhood as they used to (until a few decades ago).
