It is unfortunate that @steemchiller took inadvisable actions supporting Sun Yuchen's centralization of the blockchain, but after I personally discussed them with him and was unable to convince him to change his mind, I had to acknowledge that he was free to do as he wished.
Steemworld is a fine app, and @steemchiller a good coder. However, he demonstrated support for centralization both in deed and word, and remained committed to that course despite numerous and passionate entreaties. No app is worth sacrificing our freedom of speech, and Steemworld was convenient, but not necessary.
Not all people wish to be free. Not everyone wants to rationally consider facts and make reasonable decisions. Some people cannot be counted on to defend you from attack, no matter what words they may speak, or gifts they may give, and @steemchiller has demonstrated that in the life and death struggle we are in to ensure we can speak forthrightly and hear the honest words and existentially important information our fellows convey thereby, he is not prepared to defend that freedom, and our very lives that depend on factual information provably being censored across the world today are threatened with insipid lies and misinformation.
I'm not here because I'm writing love poems or looking at pics of silly cats. I have been beaten in the street by thugs serving corrupt government agents, and my sons' lives threatened. I do not exaggerate when I say that free speech is a matter of life and death. Did the WHO and the enemedia speak truth when they recommended keeping flights from Wuhan landing around the world last month? How many will die because they believe lies about deadly disease stalking us all today?
In balance the convenience of Steemworld is utterly lacking weight compared to our lives, freedom, and treasure. @steemchiller chose his path, and I will not rely on him to stand beside me and defend my sacred right to the truth. It is plainly obvious what allowing Sun Yuchen to control governance of Steem has done to freedom of speech and the facts only possible to learn from our honest peers speaking truthfully upon which our lives and families depend for survival itself.
If anyone trusts @steemchiller after he has deliberately sought to eliminate our access to the truth by supporting totalitarian despotism on Steem, they are making a potentially deadly mistake.
