This video features our big band’s second performance of “Samantha”. The date of this recording is Oct 31 2025. Hopefully, you are reading this on December 2025 and you have seen my previous post also.

I’m dressed as a “Reindeer Manure Technician.”

FOLLOW-UP COMPARISON! Same song, 10 days later, different performance venues, and a weird costume. Not a repost! It’s October 31st 2025 now and this is the second video.

Fun and almost easy song to me.

Dynamics can always be better. I have a few other little things to work on, but I almost “ace it.” This song is lots of blues changes and in two different keys… and some substitutions and some figures to play off of.
This song forces me to move around the bass neck and that’s very healthy for me. This bass is different than my “Bread And Butter.” Widder neck, wider frets, block inlays, and other differences that need to grow on me. The strings are probably to far off the fret board. I might make some adjustment over the break.
