I would never have believed this because the idea is to get your core up to the temperature to burn calories. Walking is just walking and you can basically just cover any distance if you have he time. I used to walk around 20 km a day whilst working and if you were running you would feel it far more.

a 20km walk can be a lot of work as well. Even though I exercise almost every day a walk like that would have me hurting a bit.
