I just finished a 21.866km bike ride that lasted about 0hh:57mm:18ss !
Just another bike ride before nightfall. I took the time to snap plenty of pictures of the sunset of course, I just can't help it. The route ended up being very similar to the last ride. I noticed there were several Strava segments in the area, so I try to get them to become the local legend!
Really, nothing special happening on that ride. I did stop by the high school running track to snap the photo below, and I think it is now fully open on weekdays because football training is going on. Hopefully it is open on weekends too, so in a few weeks I can try intervals running on it.
And since June is over, it's a good time to check the overall performance, mostly for my own accountability. First, let's look at the totals:
Sports | June Total (miles) | June Total (km) |
---|---|---|
Running | 31.23 | 50.25 |
Cycling | 89.32 | 143.72 |
Considering I only resumed training in the middle of the month, this is actually not bad. Check the training calendar below. After a small trial on the 15th, the training really started on the 17th with my first run. Not a single rest day, just alternating days! So by interpolation, that would be over 100km running for the entire month. It's pretty good for a come back after an injury. That's the bare minimum I want to reach every month though. So now for July, the target is at least 120km running, and 300km cycling. Probably not that impressive for many but I've never reached this kind of mileage for cycling, so we will see.
And of course, till then, keep Exhausting!
