@steevc just finished a 4.97km run, that lasted for 27 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 378.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
It was a lovely morning. Yesterday was nice too and I had a swim after work. As I set off I could see my race walker friend up ahead. I caught up for a chat. She is doing a 100 mile race next weekend and so was just doing 10 miles today, including parkrun. She is quicker than some runners.

Strava has been telling me I could do it in 26 minutes, but I am not convinced. I set my pacer app with a target of 26:30. I tried to stick to that, but is was hard. The third and fourth kilometres were a bit slow, but I picked up some pace at the end to finish in just under 27. That is my second best of the year. I can be happy with that as it is slightly better than I did last year.

A group of us went for coffee at the camp site shop afterwards. parkrun is also a social event. I walked home with a friend who is knows lots of people in the village so I get all the gossip.

A huge branch has come off the willow at the pub. Someone has a big job to clear that up.

Have a great weekend and run free.

It really was a beautiful day for a run 🏃‍♂️
Everyday is a beautiful day for a coffee ☕️

I've been compared to Forrest before :)

Great work! Second best time of the year is awesome, good time of year for it if you get a cool morning!

I have to be happy with it really. Need to keep up the interval runs to build the strength and endurance.

I'm thinking about experimenting more with intervals, doing more but not all out. So say if my max 400M is at a 3.45 pace, do say 20 of these a week at a 4.00 to 4.10 pace over three sessions rather than say 4 once a week at max pace.

My gut tells me this might work.

It's hard to know what actually works, but I figure getting my legs moving faster and driving up my heart rate for short periods should help. My quick pace would be a gentle jog for you :)

Keep going, you're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.

Wow, that distance is impressive. I don't think I can run that far.

It is nice to see how you manage to strive for your personal bests while also enjoying the camaraderie of parkrun.
