Description from Strava:
This was my 100th run at Henlow Bridge Lakes parkrun. There have been nearly 200 events, but I am not always there and I have volunteered plenty of times.
We have had some heavy rain this week, but it was a nice morning. The ground is getting a little soft, but is not slippery yet. I just went for it without checking my watch. I was following a couple of people and ignore those overtaking me. I tried to sprint at the end, but my legs were tired. It was one of my better times recently, I could not improve on my best of the year.
I had to dash off straight afterwards as we were going to be out all day. I saw the swan family on my way back. We had some really heavy rain with lightning in Colchester this afternoon.
Enjoy your weekend and ruin free.

Cheers. It is a cool community activity that brings a lot of joy to people. It proves that you do not have to make everything commercial.

Great post. When you talk about these things, you remind us that amateur sport is about passion, discipline, and community. I started running four months ago, too, for about 15-20 minutes a day, four days a week. !CTP
That's a great start. I'm sure you will soon see improvements.
Congrats on the Henlow 'century'!
We've had rain here too... a bit hit and miss, but when it does hit, the rain has been biblical!
I've managed to mostly dodge it this week. Looks like more due today.
Keep going, you're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.

Congrats on completing 100 runs at Henlow!
I always appreciate who volunteers at events!
Enjoy your weekend too
Your pace is consistent with last week, not bad on wet ground.
Nice work!
