If you are Ghanaian you would definitely know the game of ludu. This is where wickedness started during childhood 😂. If you know this game you would understand what I am talking about. I don’t know what name it’s called in the neighboring countries probably they also call it ludu. I think ludu is typical to west Africa, I hope I am not wrong about this .
After a very long time I played ludu with my friends recently it was very fun because we all haven’t played in a very long time.
I would describe ludu as a board and counting game which involves throwing a dice and moving your players by the number you had on the dice. To commence moving you have to get a six with the dice in order to start.
Normally the game requires four players but three or two people can also play but it is more standard and fun to have four players in the game
The ludu game has four colors red, yellow , green and blue with each color having having four corresponding players which we call babies, maybe there’s an actual name for it.
Each player has four babies , each player has its own unique colour which is red yellow green or blue
Babies
In order for a player win you have to go round then back home with all four babies without getting kicked back home. The first three people to finish get the 1st , 2nd and 3rd position in order and remaining person looses.
There are easier ways to go home instead of of going round and risk being kicked but you have to kick an opponent who is in your yard ,take over their position then go home .

Whenever I play the game with the intention of kicking other players babies I end up loosing ? But also the game is more fun when you kick people more, and makes the competition tougher .
The concept of this game is very simple and would be much easier to grasp if one demonstrates for you physically using the ludu board
I had a great time playing ludu again
Despite the fact that I won just one game out of three rounds of play

Haha it happens with me too. Whenever I play with the intention of kicking people, I end up losing because I see nothing else but kicking people even if I had the chance to go home😂. Don't tell me you played with Yhat cos she's just as wicked and crazy as you 😂

The game of Ludu was one of my favorite way back then..I loved the colour red side. This makes me feel very dangerous and wicked😡😂. I didn’t care much about losing or winning.. I just wanted to remove people anyhow👹🤣. I could come from home and remove someone aside just to spoil their chance of making it to the finishing line and it came with great joy..😂😂. I also like to pile up my babies on each other just to prevent others from by passing me.🤣Too bad nowadays all we think of are video games. Maybe that’s some of the demerits of technology and advancement. Anyway thanks for bringing back this memories into play once more in our minds.

STOPHere we call it ludo.I played it a lot while growing y.I and my friends will design it using a cardboard paper.But now it is mostly played using the app on a phone or computer even at that it lacks the touch of the original ludo that we are used to.
Yeah . Ludu on phone doesn’t sound fun
