Hive Thriving Tips From A Dolphin - A 2 Year Old Hiver Writes...

in HiveGhana11 months ago

Did that title read like a show off? Oh sorry, that wasn't the intention if it did. I just wanted to let you know who you are about reading from... One who haven't been on Hive for long like many have been but one who has stayed long enough to know some good tips to share.

And that title is also to ask for all the congratulations I can get, I became a dolphin some hours ago and I think it's worth celebrating.

It still feels like it all started yesterday, from 0 HP (a redfish) to 5k+ HP (a dolphin). How I got this far? It's a long story but I'll be straight to the point and share it in thriving tips you can add to yours for positive results.

I may had joined Hive for the money too like many others but one thing I picked up way too quickly thanks to my onboarder is to have the mind of growing my account... I learnt that way too early and I commend my onboarder for making that point clear to me. So yeah, if you want to thrive on Hive, that is the first tip you should have in mind.

Growing your account should be your long term goal

Not many newbies put this in mind as they just want to take out the little cents they gather from their unlucky contents. I still remember a guy I brought to Hive, even after all I lectured, he withdrew his earnings in the second week of his time on Hive. Now, he isn't active anymore because he can't seem to start over, funny but that's the reality of many newbies and in the end, we don't get many of them who thrive continuously for the long term result.

Another thing I learnt early and has helped me so much is learning to use the Hive Blockchain to my advantage. My onboarder didn't fail to lecture me for some hours how I could go about it for a start and up till today, I still feel grateful for everything I've achieved in the opportunities Hive investments gave me. You want to thrive on Hive?

Invest in your Hive Power, HBD and second layer tokens

For newbies with almost nothing to start with, this would seem like a tip not needed but believe me when I say I began to explore this aspect of Hive in my first month as a Hiver. Of course, I'd say my onboarder did a great job and I am a curious and fast learner so it could be different for you in the start. The end result is what matters, not the process sometimes.

And so, while you try to create quality contents and grow your Hive Power, set your mind in growing HBD to save for interest and also invest in second layer tokens that are very cheap to buy. Gradually, you will be surprised how much of everything you've accumulated.

Engagement, a powerful weapon for your account reputation

One thing you should always have in your mind is that your Hive account is your identity here on the blockchain and whatever you do with it is recorded so long you posted it whether posts or comments even if you delete afterwards. That is why quality engagement is always encouraged and I'll share that same tip to you.

Don't be bent on creating quality contents for your blog alone, be intentional about your engagement with other authors as well. Stay original, creative and do it with fun, it comes out better than forcing yourself to leave a comment when actually you couldn't read the post well enough. One thing I always do "I won't comment if I can't read a post". That has helped me and it could help you as well.

Finally, stay consistent with what you love to do on Hive

Don't do it because others are doing it, don't pressure yourself because you feel that is what others are doing, don't feel low about your contents because you feel others write better, don't hold back because you don't get attention on posts... Do it because you enjoy doing it and trust me, you're going to be more consistent than doing it like a job to earn and cash out money.

Consistency is key, they would always say and I'll add, don't be consistent with what people complain about that you do, don't be consistent with not giving back to the community as you get, don't stay consistent in not being consistent with thriving as a Hiver.

Hive is learning ground, every aspect is there to teach you sometimes. Have the open mind to explore, read and try out new things as you journey through Hive. There's more uncovered, find them... You are a thriving being, you should be curious in a blockchain like this, stay curious!...

Your on boarder did a great job showing you the way and telling you all you needed to know but then that was the same thing a lot other on boarders did but in the end not many used those advice well.

I'm sure your on boarder is always proud to see you do your best with the little effort he put in, that's the dream of every onboarder and you are a role model to a lot of us and I'm more honored to know that you are the one that brought me to this space.

These tips are very valuable but if course to those that really wants to grow, thank you so much for sharing it with us.
