Greetings, beautiful souls. Hope you all are doing well. Thank you for stopping by my blog. One of the themes for this week says. Superpower. I love adventure and trying new things, so one thing I do without stress or without getting tired of doing is cooking. I love cooking, like i cook fresh food every day. Infact the last time my brother visited me, he was like mummy Ivan, start selling online food na your food is always good and tasty 😋. I just smiled, that is the level of my love for cooking and how I do it well.
Some time ago, my sister-in-law came visiting, and the one compliment she gave me was that she loves the way I cook. She said I cook effortlessly, in her words, she said. Mummy Ivan, you cook so effortlessly, making it look as though it's not stressful. I told her to me cooking is nothing I love doing it. I started cooking at the age of 12 years because everyone could go out, and as the last daughter that I am, I had to stay home to help Mom. I wasn't happy then because I felt like, "Why is everyone out except me?" not knowing that she was training me.
Today I'm the best cook in the family; anytime we are having family gatherings, I'm always the one cooking. And again when I got married, my husband stopped eating outside; he even stopped eating his sister's food. But to be honest, my sister-in-law doesn't know how to cook and also doesn't love cooking. But since I came into the family, there have been a few changes in her cooking skills. I remember a few months back, I visited my husband's parents.
I went with my sister-in-law, and she was about to make a local soup, which she didn't even know how to make, so I just decided to check up on her in the kitchen, and I also wanted to give her a helping hand. On getting to the kitchen, I offered to help prepare the soup for the house while she made swallow. After preparing the soup, my father-in-law was just praising me; he said the taste of the food in his house had changed the moment we arrived.
Hahahah 🤣, the truth is it was also food that I gave my husband that he fell in love with me, story for another day. But it was food that made my husband married me, and till date my husband still praises my cooking skills, so yes, if there is anything I'm very good at, it would be cooking. Anytime my siblings are coming to visit, they usually don't eat funny, right? I know. They love my cooking still date. So one thing I love doing is cooking. Don't worry watch out because, I will be making some goodies for the Christmas and I will definitely share it with you guys. Thank you for stopping by, see you next time. All images used are mine
