Michael Pittman Jr. 2021 Absolute Football/Panini Football Card - Indianapolis Colts Wide Receiver

in Trading Cards!2 years ago

I'm always reluctant to write about any AFC South team unless of course it's the TITANS. But still, I will admit, Michael Pittman Jr. seems like a young wide receiver that is here to stay.

I remember when Pittman was an NFL prospect coming out of USC in early 2020, I really liked what I saw from him and was excited to see what he could do at the next level.

When I saw him get selected by the Colts, I was sorta annoyed LOL. I knew Pittman was a stud and the idea that the Titans had to face him twice a season was not exactly exciting.

In two seasons as a pro, Pittman has established himself as a nice steady big target for the Colts. As I said, Pittman has proven he is a player that's here to stay but I am unsure if he will ever be a straight up superstar. I'm unsure if he is even a true 'number one' receiver.

I'm not trying to hate on Pittman whatsoever! He is a nice player that would improve pretty much any NFL team. I think he could be a number one guy in his prime perhaps. Pittman is already a quality 'number two' type of receiver and I could easily see him being a very high end one quite soon. He kinda already is, I just want to see him in year three I guess.

Pittman is a solid weapon, I just think the Colts might be better off attempting to find a number one to pair with Pittman, then the Colts would be really set.

As a Titans fan, I sure hope they don't find that number one guy!

The only reason I don't know if Pittman can be a top top guy is because I just don't think he has much explosion or elite speed to make teams absolutely fear him at a high level.

I'm just a dude with a blog and a Titans fan, so what do I know? LOL.

But overall I am a fan, and Pittman can still wreak havoc and cause problems at times.

After a mildly underwhelming but still decent rookie season, Pittman had a really good second season, catching 88 passes for 1,082 receiving yards as well as 6 touchdown catches.

Overall, in two seasons as a pro, Pittman has recorded 128 receptions for 1,585 yards and 7 touchdown receptions.

Entering his third season, Pittman will have to get to know and play with a third different quarterback. While Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan are all at least somewhat competent, it must be sort of if not straight up challenging to have to get to know yet another QB.

With Matt Ryan being a veteran, who knows how long he will stay in Indy.

Nevertheless, Pittman is having himself a nice career so far. Pittman will be 25 this October so he still has time to develop nicely and surpass my own opinion/expectations, whatever that's worth LOL.

The name 'Pittman' has been in the league before as Pittman Jr.'s father had a pretty nice career in the NFL in the 90's and 2000's and actually played as late as 2008!

Here is Michael Pittman Jr.'s USC highlights from his college days!

Turns out Pittman Jr. is a real internet kid, and a charasmatic type of guy as he has his own YouTube channel where he reacts to his own career and has a lot of just football/life footage. The NFL is SOOOOO lame for not allowing videos to be shared on blogs!!! But here is Pittman Jr.'s channel! Well, a video of his anyway LOL.

It feels wrong posting this up of a rival player, but it is pretty cool that he has an active YouTube channel with decent content. I wouldn't hate it if a Titans player did this, but I just want them to win a Super Bowl first LOL. Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan has a podcast but I am not crazy about it personally. Sometimes it's good.

Big year three for Pittman Jr, hope it goes well excpet against the Titans LOL.
