Web3 is coming. #500wordsaday

in 500 Words a day4 years ago

This will be a first for me. I have just downloaded the @dapplr app and have been using it for the day. I had partiko back in the day which was a game changer while it was working. It was such a great app for posting to the chain and keeping up with all the notifications. Everybody was sad to see it decline.

I use esteem at the moment and while it does the job it has never been a smooth process to use it on mobile. Whatever the reason but it has never been up to scratch and still has a lot of bugs in the system.

This is where dapplr comes in. Even though it has just been released it is already a great app. Just from the functionality and options that it gives you I am very optimistic about it. It is an app that anybody could use regardless of experience with hive or with blockchain. This is where the future of hive will lie. Web3 options that look and smell like the real thing. Operating on hive and tokenising apps that we used to use on the old system.

New alternatives to old systems that reward the users rather than use them as commodities for slae and exploitation. We arelookingat the future in real time as new solutions are built onto the blockchain every day. Nft games like @splinterlands. Markerplaces like @nftshowroom.
Apps like @dapplr.

These are all next generation solutions that we are lucky enough to see first. We have the chance to get ahead of the curve and be a part of these new and exciting projects from the very beginning. Even better they will empower us to earn while all of this is happening.

They will pay us to be involved with them. Blooging, gaming, selling our work and our content. In the unlikely event that hive is not successful I have no doubt that these practices will be. In one form or another Web3 will replace the current standard as it doesn't work anymore. Hopefully we are the lucky few that backed the right horse but undoubtedly there will be winners.

Is that Father Ted's gaff?

I think mobile is going to be very big for Hive, considering most of the world accesses the internet through theirs phones. It has taken a long to to get a good app but i this with @Dapplr we're getting there.

Of course it is. Good spot though. You obviously know your stuff. 😂

Where's Dougal? My hero...lol

I think he's saying mass. You can't beat a good mass.
!ENGAGE10

Dougal isn't a great mass debater though, methinks..

You actually meet lots of the cast around the place as they hired a lot of locals at the time for filming.
The barman for the racist episode is actually the local owner of a pub there and is serving every day. My next door neighbor was part of the xmas episode and lots more around the area.

I was seeing a girl from near sixemilebridge at the time, so you can imagine the excitement!

I worked in the Burren near it for a while.

I think mobile is the future of Hive, considering most of the world accesses the internet through their phones. It has taken a long time but I think with @Dapplr we are nearly there.

I was in doolin a few weeks back after lockdown ended. The perfect place to have a few dinners. 😂
Mobile is definitely the way forward. People live on their phones these days.

It is a beautiful part of the world, very Rugged. I helped build the Interpretive center in Kilfinora.
I really like Dapplr although it has some formatting issues on my phone. Looking forward to when they have their own token.

We need more dapps, especially on mobile as that's what most people use.

I recognised Craggy Island immediately from the picture :)

Especially user friendly ones. I would like to see a lot more games built to hive for the phone. The don't even need to run on the blockchain but could uses it for in game currency and rewards. I don't have the skills but I can see lots of ways to build good projects onto hive.

I'm not so good at coming up with ideas. Rising Star is pretty playable on a phone, but needs more development. On that you can do all except trade cards as that requires Keychain. I can at least kick off missions when away from my PC. Mobile gaming is a massive market and we need a slice of it.

I would like to build more game focused apps like the old arcade ones. Stay away from the more complicated stuff like splinterlands and focus on user experience.

Use ad revenue to finance tournaments and reward pool. Use tokens as assets for extra lives, power ups ect that could be bought with micro purchases of cash or crypto. Discount for using hive obviously and all rewards payed out in hive. Each player would need a hive account/wallet to store their funds and in game tokens. You could create a market to sell/trade tokens earned in game.

Simple ones like tetris, space invaders, block smasher. You could build as many as you like that play just like any other game on your phone. Can play and compete entirely for free. Have the chance to win the prize pools and in game items. No crypto knowledge needed.

They could earn extra hive from blogging or videoing. It's a perfect circle.

With some of the hive sites being built at the moment you would be able to spend hive straight to the stores so it would be great to win hive on your phone playing games and then be able to buy a t-shirt with the crypto. You could obviously move it onto the markets ect if you learned a bit more but the idea would be to make things as basic as possible for the everyday user.

Unfortunately I have business skill but no computer skill so have no way to build anything that I dream up.

Nice picture! 😊

Thanks. It was a good day out.

Apps like @dapplr.

We’re moving forward together.

Can’t wait for the iOS version of dApplr

For some reason downloading apps from the playstore anymore(except with wifi sometimes.) so can't try it for now. Sad.

I've been hearing great things about the dapp though.

Dope pic btw.
