Technology has been evolving at a rapid pace and we have been witnessing that through our own two eyes now the Time is for the Evolution of the Internet in itself and that means a new Web is on the verge of Acceptance. I said Acceptance because Web3 is already here and the only thing that is the way Web3 is taking over Web2 is Mass Acceptance from the General Public. It wouldn't be wrong if I say that Technology has become an essential part of our life and at the same time it is controlled by others; even our own DATA is not ours to claim.
This is where Web3 differentiates itself from Web2 where you and you only own anything and everything you upload on the Web. Yes, you can share that with others but the Owner is always you unless you decide to transfer the ownership to someone else. So let's ask the question again
Is Web3 The Future Of The Internet?
Long Story Short I believe it to be TRUE and I can give you certain examples to set some sort of Precedent here. I know that there are a lot of Youtubers who have opted to Crowdfund their Movies from their Audience as they felt that Centralised Authorities will take a lot of liberties with their Movie and so they went the other Route. Now yes they did not go the Web3 Route but they came quite close and more and more Creators are moving towards making their Content their own. Andrew Schulz is another example where he purchased his Comedy Special from NETFLIX and uploaded it on his own Website and gained massive traction and monetary gain from doing that.
It is indeed true that more and more people are indeed migrating toward Web3 but it is also a reality that still a lot of people don't know what Web3 is actually about and why it matters. So I guess we will have to wait a few more years till the General Public gets up to Speed and web3 is integrated in our daily lifestyle.
