Have you guys heard of Virtual RAM in Smartphones if not then it is for the better and if yes then I would like to say that it is nothing but a gimmick that Smartphone companies use to make it sound a little better than it actually is for the smartphones. So what was the reason why some Smartphone companies started to highlight their Gimmicky feature as something revolutionary.

The reason is that there are some smartphones, especially in the low to mid-range budget areas still run with 4 GB of RAM which is decent for normal usage but definitely not enough for your typical high-end users who tend to keep a lot of tabs unclosed on their Smartphones. So the companies came out with something called the Virtual RAM which in theory boosts your RAM from 4 GB to 5 or 6 GB with 2 GB of Virtual RAM.

While the truth is that it will only work if you have ample Storage in your ROM and in that case, the software will enable the Smartphone to take up some ROM as a temporary RAM or as they say VIRTUAL RAM. But we all know that having extra space in our Smartohoe is like having an extra Salary every single month so yeah this whole Virtual RAM comes out to be simply a GIMMICK by the Smartphone Companies just to sell their Products.

This is by no means anything Revolutionary.

Not sure what dream land they live in but these companies are a gimmick themselves.

Lol you are not far from the truth.

Lately it feels like there is no technological advancements made in the Smartphone Market that goes even for Tech Giants like Apple and Samsung as well.

In old desktops they had fans and heatsyncs to keep the machines from overheating? How is that done now days with phones, tablets and laptops?

My laptop gets so hot when I'm streaming that the video stops playing.

I am not that well versed in the laptop cooling systems but I am pretty sure modern smartphones have something called a Vapour Chamber that helps the smartphone to dissipate the heat produced internally by properly distributing the heat to every end of the smartphone and gradually the smartphone cools down.

Some gaming centric smartphones even has proper cooling systems inbuilt in them including the vapour chamber.

Copper and aluminum? So phones have built in faraday cages? 🤔🤔🤣🤣
I still think aluminum is not a very good material to reduce heat.

To be honest I am not so sure how the system works but I have a similar smartphone and I can feel the heat dissipation while I game or do some Intensive tasks.
