Anyway enough goofing around, It's a pretty dope server but its really not like that deep the love that is 🤣
I already got a server but now I got 2 and this one is much more modern and powerful and I can put in a GPU in for AI workloads already did a 3090 not the latest and greatest but mans on a budget, but the 3090 and the beefy PowerEdge T630 are a great value and still got some pull... this thing is a beast I got 2 1100 Watt PSU (power supplies) that means I can easily add another 3090 card in there if I wanted.
it will not be plug and play for the AI workloads have to tinker and split larger models across GPUS
but a single 3090 has 24 gb of Vram and that is a fair bit for many models including video generating ones.
The latest consumer chip is the 5090 I am 2 generations away but the 5090 only has 32 gb of ram so not the biggest difference but it has some other things that make it faster with the AI workloads, but the price is about 3 times more then my 3090...
The wild part is that there are chips that are even more expensive gpu that are 10K +!! and some folks including some on hive have more then one of those bad boys in their rig!
Wild shit but its not about the size of the boat its the motion of the ocean or at least it is better if you tell yourself that, I have not really had too much time to mess with this new server and the old one is doing all the work for now still,
I now updated my dash and see my new server stats along with my og server my local apps and some other minor things like starting to rebuild my local hive streamer that will be the backbone of this new DUO service node thing.
And right below the only legit pic, she hopped on as soon as I brought the server in marking her territory
