Weaponizing downvotes that are intended to protect the chain financially by trying to silence opposing views is going at the core offering of the chain how is that censorship resistance when you can be stripped of your earnings and even be hidden via mute with a low rating.

I think that is fucked up, if they ain't cheating or stealing from the chain they should be free to speak their mind and you should be free to tell them how stupid they are but that don't mean you downvote folks.

Shit I don't even care I see a flat earth post or some next dumb shit, I give it an upvote even though I think the person is hella stupid, because I know lots of people will not my curation strategy outside of that's my hive pal... cuz lets be real that just human nature but outside of that I just vote for post that seem to not be earning much, I could care less what the content is, I am trying to help ma people eat fuck a hater.

Oh and just to clarify I don't think hive watchers is going after people for their opinions but there are plenty of on chain vigilantes in this web3 jungle.

This whole place is a mess, even with this appeal process is messed up if HW calls you out they want you to reach out in appeal channel ,where wannabe HW and other vigilantes can see and even though someone can get cleared up with HW those other people can still harass them and I think that is not cool.

I get the need to try and guard the chain, I really do but I also get that if this is not done damn near perfect there can be more damage done then good, I mean it is pretty evident we seen it happen it continues to go on.

I was exploring the HW account and I stumbled on an instance of them using chat GPT for AI detection.... I was blown away, but at this point I should not be surprised, this needs to be a post on it's own, so I will not get into much but all I will say is AI detection tech is not perfect and chat GPT is NOT an AI detection tool... someone was slacking in the hive watcher academy I guess .
