Great advice! I recently had some asshole downvote threads because they don't like inleo premium users... plus character constrains and a lack of a unification like on long from post across the chain.
It's great to see so many people making hive a better and more welcoming place attracting talent, I mean it would be great to see that many seem to be doing the exact opposite here!
I understand the need for some policing but lets be honest folks it is not being done right, hivewatchers get DHF funding be it from a small group of whales non the less, y'all need to be way more transparent and way more nice and helpful, chain servants since y'all funded by the chain.
Instead of essentially saying your content doesn't belong here, how about letting folks know what is up, so you guys cool with with me just fucking off and not making long form post anymore, who needs em eh? y'all are happy with 5-15 k active users, growth ? who needs that, hive is a highly inflationary token it doesn't need more people to help keep and grow its value , come on now!
But anyway this was fairly tame, I actually cooled off, I was going to drop all the series and just have every post be a HW is a cancer post, never copy paste and always at least 300 words them be the unwritten rules , you better follow or stand to lose your earnings, remember this is not real decentralization and hive doesn't owe you anything unless you are part of the inner circle.
I invested thousands and years into this chain trying to onboard damn near every person I know, spin up countless onboarding efforts , I earn maybe 5-7 bucks a post HW thinks I am entitled that is far too much, but I am not upset because I have to write a bit more, I am upset that this is the kind of toxic environment hive is and I know that if it doesn't change this chain will stagnate and fizzle out, we been stagnant for a while now y'all ready to fizzle ?
300 words is actually a fair bit and this word count thing is silly, I tried to make posts with more effort I get no extra votes or engagement, but good thing we got HW since there is no actual incentive for that
That's over 300, after writing I think what I do is I try to add a few more words in my regular post and anything under 300 is a new section sponsored by HW 🤣

Try not to take it personal. At least they didn't flag you. I've seen plenty of instances where whales shoot first and don't even give a heads up.
This is the Hive way. It's not always positive and it doesn't always make sense, but after a while you kind of learn how to survive in the jungle here.
I don't take it personal at all, it's just blockchain and hive for me is way beyond money this tech can really help society, so when I see hive the greatest experiment in social decentralized governance being squandered it hurts, I am fortunate enough to have a lot of drive and opportunities.
It's all open source they keep playing like someone can't make a clone and take hive users just like hive did with steem.
I agree. The potential social decentralized governance here has been enormous for years. We've made some slow progress with various DAOs but otherwise it's been really disappointing that Hive hasn't kept pace with the rest of the crypto space. I dare say the underlying technology here is looking tired, maybe even redundant by comparison.
At some point maybe we fork onto a side-chain of one of the big smart contract chains, but the witnesses here would be doing themselves out of job so I doubt they would facilitate that.

Hive has been anti speech since beginning in said regard. Obviously the text doesn’t get deleted, but accounts who get rep zeroed out it might as well delete it.
I spoke often about these three topics and was DV’d by a whale and sadly 99% of Hive doesn’t like or care about unpopular topics.

Heck they even have our community funds to a political cause in 2023 via DHF. The community funds should never have been used to support unrelated projects.
I hear you and it is not right, I think DV is supposed to server as a chain defense mechanism but more then often it is misused and abused to financially penalizing differing opinions or force compliance like in my case here.
I would say maybe blurt got it right dropping the DV function but they also introduce tx fees so that takes away from the magic I would say
Blurt is a joke not a solution. You need DV to regulate spam, it’s just abused by clowns. Maybe the system just doesn’t work. Maybe the set up of the system is always going to be a failed experiment. But one thing is certain, Hive is way beyond Steemit & Blurt. I believe the biggest mistake was how the truth or conspiracy so called community was harassed and crushed with DV’s. I mean if ur gonna be the decentralized blog chain, u can’t have ur top accounts crushing speech. That leads to it being a safe just like the rest platform and wastes the whole point in being decentralized $ censorship resistant.
I enjoy the music posts and market talk, but pushing that community out just showed the top powerful here are probably just milking and circle jerking profit with no real goals if this being something big in future. We will likely continue to underperform and eventually be a penny in a couple or few cycles and growth doesn’t exist & we bleed users. I want this platform to work so bad, but it doesn’t feel like it will at moment.

Inleo's new tokenomics are nothing but a flywheel circle jerk. Not sustainable in my opinion. Not putting another dime into that ecosystem. I paid a year for premium so when that's up, I'll be out of there too.
I'm fairly skeptical but still appreciate the hype and positive energy obviously if it all crumbles then it's for nothing, it's some resemblance of life on chain the rest of hive looking like we died and these are just our ghostly remains
They hype is only from a small handful of people, so honestly I don't see it as hype. Inleo is built on Hive's second layer, certainly not a better place. I am all into DEFI on Polygon using WETH and WBTC as collateral to borrow trading funds where I perp trade on Quickswap. Then I am also buying more miners for the farm to earn more DOGE, LTC, and XMR. So those are my better places. Once my powerdowns are done, you probably won't see me around here much anymore.

I remember getting downvoted for talking about other coins. Leofinance gave me a place to talk about interesting projects on other chains, most have done exceptionally well while hive's tokenomeics supports a lot of sell pressure. I still believe eventually Hive will pivot into caring a bit more about price appreciation for native Hive

I really appreciate that 🙏 the thing for me is this demoralization is not on a personal level, on a personal level I am not phased and actually enjoying the shit show, HW has been showing their true colors so to speak. They harassed me a bit more after all of this but I am going to just bring all that stuff up ,gonna make a hw diss track and write lots of blogs calling them out, calling upon more transparency And accountability from them as they are receiving funding from the dhf and that should be true for anything getting funded from that, and maybe even introducing a watchdog group. So we got watchers watching the watchers. I guess that's what it comes to. I understand. Maybe at the court. They're trying to protect the chain but I think if we really analyze the picture carefully. There's a lot more damage being done and the actual reality is a lot more dark and nasty and it more so seems like they just protect the interests of those few whales that secure their funding
Perhaps this is what has been lacking to date. Freezepeach attempted to counter flags flown unfairly, but was not funded nominally and has lapsed. The money is in the scam, not countering the scam, so this is an uphill battle that must rely on people, not money. The vast majority of the community of Hive isn't in favor of whimsical blacklisting, but is also not very aware of it, as only the followers and those blacklisted are directly impacted.
In the event this is done, and I am capable (which is presently not predictable) I will be extremely interested in making it happen. I share your understanding of the potential of Hive to enable communities to govern themselves, the DV has rendered moot.

You are not wrong the only issue is the scam is not sustainable, and without a serious technical and social overhaul even with the greatest onboarding push all it could do is drive the value up and buy some time but overall the model is flawed. I coined a term for something that Dan created called a masked legitimacy pyramid scheme I can't say for certain if it started with bitshares but there is no plausible deniability with his future project steemit and then eos, same flawed template just slapped on a new concept, the scheme is elaborate but not rocket science, Dan exited scam offloading to that rich dummy Justin, steemits elites saw an opportunity to get more control and here we are.
It is much less complex than implied. There are key features necessary to control Hive: plutocracy and DV's. Unless I am missing something (which wouldn't surprise me) that's the fundamental control mechanism that prevents Hive from being a truly decentralized social platform that enables communities to use it to govern themselves. Enabling stake weight to completely control governance by controlling which code is run, by controlling which witnesses run it, is the reason DV's are used to suppress growth, the reason DV's enable whales to capture >90% of the inflation from the rewards pool, and the reason that DV's functionally censor speech whales don't like. The current cabal that controls Hive has to suppress growth because their stake is lunch money to IRL investors seeking growth. Sun Yuchen purchased Steemit, Inc. with a mere few $m's. The suppression of growth eliminates interest of billionaires that could capture Hive exactly as Sun Yuchen captured Steem.

Fairly spot on, but like I said the underlying foundation that hive inherited is not sustainable most steem whales understood this and just pushed this narrative of fighting centralization, and to be fair hive is slightly more decentlaized then steem but it's still not decentlaized, whole thing is a mess , we go various nodes that are needed to make a robust and decentlaized network but we are only rewarding the witnesses nodes, next to impossible to claim incompetence here unfortunately things looking far more sinister
