Night In or Night Out?
Last night I had a gather together with a few friends (My two roomies and an extra guy) and we were just chilling drinking a few beers and talking. We ended up going to the supermarket and bought for $100 usd worth of alcohol and mixing stuff which might seem a bit crazy, but its just like we would drink everything, we just wanted to have a variety of options when it came to making drinks.
Chill with friends over a couple of beers or drinks, is right up my alley. Its cool, chill and cozy and you are able to talk about anything.
Going out, maybe?
When the arm on the clock tick to 11 pm, the three other people decided they wanted to go into town to drink more and have fun. I get it, its something that can be fun!
But. I said...
No
The idea of staying home just talking about the universe or the social climate is far more interesting to me than sitting at a bar drinking more than necessary and spending more money than necessary in a place where you just small talk or look at your phone (I don't dance).
This might have something to do with living in a society where you kinda just stick with your group of friends and doesn't mingle with a lot of other groups when you are out.
Occasionally someone will bring and other friend and you get to know them and so far and so on. But mixing with groups within town isn't "Normal", its just the Danish dynamic, we also don't small talk with strangers when waiting for the bus or anything, we are quite reserved or most danish are.
Learning to say No
I have a friend who haven't been into town this entire year, because she learned to say No. Which is amazing knowing what she struggles with on a day to day basic and that might have triggered me to look more inward.
Because for a long time now, I really didn't enjoy being out getting drunk, but I just went with the regular flow of my friend group, but I am finally starting to get into myself and working more towards achieving certain things I always wanted to do but was to scared to do anything about.
E.g. Starting a small side-hustle myself
Now its time to say NO to everything and just tie myself down to achieving every single fucking goal I want and improve my life!
Always will be better to say no, if you don´t really want to do something.
Sometimes social pressure made us to do something we don´t want, just to be polite
Exactly! :D
Learning to say "NO" is very important!
That makes me staying out of some things that would absorb energy with no positive results + saving a lot of time!
Even if I liked the idea of becoming a "yes-man", being able to say no is much more powerful!
Its about Balance. Only say Yes to what you really want :D
I totally agree! By saying yes to on what we really want make us saving time to invest in other things that we really want. It's a virtuous circuit

Thank you @bhattg
Good for you. Congrats on choosing to say no to things you don’t like and yes to things you do like
I just dont care for it anymore and I would rather save and invest my money :p
But thanks!
It's a good thing to know how to during bear markets :p
Like saying NO to the sell pressure? :P
Or "are we going out to eat today?"
Ye true!
Thats not really that common where I am from, so I don't deal with that :p
I agree with you, sharing with friends is something that I also like, the point is the excesses to that I try as far as possible to say NO, and more when it is about wasting money on senseless things, concentrating on oneself gives advantages of personal growth.
Yes exactly! I am not against going out once a blue moon, but not often or every weekend
Decision making is the first step to achieving anything in life. If you stick to your decision you will achieve whatever you want to achieve.
This is something I need to stick to. The "NO" especially if the activity has nothing to offer me.
Am glad you have taken the first step.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers 🍻
Thanks!
Yes, you have to value your time

Great decision
I'm practicing saying NO, and I notice the changes and the improvement of my life..
Thanks for this @cwow2
I'll be a rebel: yes
