Honestly, there is not enough Hive Power for me to curate the hundreds of people I would like to. It's hard to say hi and visit everyone like I want to. My Hive Power is low today but I still have some posts that I curated in a random fashion and wanted to send some love out to these Hive authors with this curation! A more focused curation will happen tonight! Some familiar faces are featured here.
Really this post is for one thing and that is to make sure everyone who reads this votes on the proposal for @lordbutterfly and his movie for Hive! This proposal I think needs as much support as it can get! His post about the movie and proposal is featured below!
introduction postI also want to say that my friend @earthpurse777 is still at work today and will get to her comments today and will make a @ladiesofhive as well as the @ecotrain post about leftovers post later. I can not promise that she does either however. I am pushing her pretty hard with HIVE. Her and I are just in utter shock at the continued support on her on HIVE! She knows people who were just censored off Instagram for freaking farming that is not even cannabis related. It was popular content that was helping people become sustainable. Go figure. Hive as a community has shown key people in key communities for agriculture that there is a solution! We haven't even started making @threespeak content either! This is very exciting people of Hive and this community's loving embrace of @earthpurse777 is opening major doors for sustainable farmers worldwide!

Hive Documentary Film PROPOSAL // VOTE
Please read the post featured here and vote for this proposal for an important movie about our story that is HIVE!
This is the proposal for a full feature Hive documentary movie. What this documentary will be: A 65-70 minute full feature documentary film made by an award winning team based in Europe. This will be a story about "crypto" and blockchain in simple terms with focus on "community" by using the "Hive story" as the central core of the documentary. In a sense having our story be the proof of the promise crypto and blockchain are making in a time when scams and meme coins are what the general public perceives crypto as being.

Over the course of the last year I have heavily considered stopping all this sharing jazz completely because to be blunt there is just too much damn sketchy stuff going on in this country and I dislike the notion of folks looking at me for their meal ticket when/if things really start to fall apart. I am sure that I am not the only one that has had such thoughts and I have definitely noticed a lot of folks go inactive (with sharing) over the previous few years and I cannot help but wonder if that played a part in their decision making or not.

There is a community that she is apart of that is Christian/ moral based and has a sustainable farm that incorporates Korean Natural Farming; a farming technique that is all about empowering farmers to be less dependent on the government while utilizing the abundance that nature has readily available.

While bots can write posts is very much a reality, some of the human-created stuff is just utter bilge water if you're willing to look at the work coldly and objectively. I can think of two authors whose work is mainly in the Insperational post format, and if I re-read them a couple of times, I realise there's nothing there, just a few paragraphs built around seven or eight keywords.
Sadly, it would seem it doesn't matter what anyone posts on Hive; Good Content appears to be a myth IMO. The only ones who care are Hivewatchers and a few accounts sitting on a decent wedge of HP. Downvoting has its own issues as well for some with accusations of unfairness and bullying.

Some people read the newspaper for the long articles and others read it for the comic strips. There are financial stuff and cross word puzzles too. Rarely, I find a person reads the whole thing.
The downvotes I followed. I stopped following truth content so 99% of them I do not see anymore. Also, careful about the discords I am in. I actually appreciate most of the downvoters anymore as most are doing cool things for Hive. Yeah, a certain curation group is downvoting a certain way discouraging real people with real content off Hive but ultimately I think Hive has a little bit of everything for everyone.
I am tired of the plagiarism (motivation posts? financial advice posts?) and how hard it is to check. Also, the Steem content cross posting with no citations. Theycallmedan said Sun sold his steem stake? How can we follow that rabbit?
Anyways, I am typing this out after waking up from dead of sleep at 2am. This usually happens to me when someone makes killer comment(s). Thanks man for stopping by!

Yep. Plagiarism is bang out of order. So-called Copy/Paste or 'quoting' I don't mind so long as it is no more than 20% of the post and there is either a citation or encapsulated in HTML blockquote.
I just wish as much effort was put into spreading the rewards around as is put into stopping folk from being rewarded. Discord channels. I mostly hang out on the Ecency server. It's a much nicer experience.

Ah generalisations :) Plenty of good music and art on Hive and some creative writing too. Depends on what floats your boat. There is also loads of low value dross recycled from elsewhere. Just vote up the stuff you like to encourage it. Things like voting circles are inevitable and hard to prevent. Report any plagiarism and HW may take care of it. I think the downvote issues are exaggerated. Those who get hit will kick their toys out of the pram, but some of them stick around anyway.
Having spent, as you know, an intensive six months with the likes of HW, I have concluded far too much time and effort is spent worrying about the money and the possibility someone somewhere is being rewarded too much or unfairly. Nowhere near enough effort is being put into spreading the rewards and giving folk a leg up. I know you do a heck of a lot, but there are a lot of accounts that could use their hoard of HP to help others more rather than using that power to nuke accounts.
I'm convinced you would prefer to be known as "Steve the benevolent" rather than "Steve the destroyer" sadly, some folk think it cool to be the destroyer. #LeSigh
You seem to be ignoring all the people who do good stuff, but then you may not see much of it. As I keep banging on about, downvotes cost more than upvotes, so there can be less of them. I have my own 'leg up' project going, but there are others. Okay, so I do downvotes too, but that is because I care about Hive, as do loads of others. I may piss off a few people, but they are a tiny minority who squeal loudly. Looking at HW Discord may get you down, so try looking out for good stuff that you really want to support. Hive is diverse, for good or ill.
I would use the word "Some" rather than "All" if ALL were doing good stuff, there'd be no need to cheat. 🤣

Opinions on what is 'good' will vary. I just checked on the biggest accounts on https://hivebuzz.me/ranking (by effective HP). They are hardly downvoting, so that is a lot of potential power that is unused. The downvotes tend to be pretty focused and the reasons for that are varied. Sometimes people just fall out.
Someone should draw up some stats on where downvotes go. It could be interesting reading. I bet a lot is dealing with stuff like plagiarism. A faily limited amount is likely to be used for just adjusting rewards where Rancho has been. That's my guess anyway.
We each get to decide what we do with our vote. That's part of the freedom of Hive. Hive has its share of social misfits who may use it for 'evil'. We have no influence over them. We have to find ways to make it all work for the maximum benefit to the majority. I think in general it does work.
