FIGHT FOR FREEDOM 1

Hello beautiful people. Freedom is important and it will not be achieved without a fight. As a human being, and if you have lived in this region of the world, you would have witnessed one or more protests with regard to the economic situation of things in the country, the high and heightened costs of living, the alarming rate of hunger and excessive prices of goods and services.

The question remains, will protest to remedy the deficiencies achieve the aim?

Will it get us the needed solution? Cast your mind back to a few years ago when the young men and women of the country rallied to protest unlawful stop and search. The result was not so palatable and so many people lost their lives during the process. The country is yet to recover from the loss, and everyone has feared fighting for their rights since then.

When people are quiet, evil will proceed, and it will eventually prevail.

Deciding not to protest because of the previous experience will not end the situation; protesting has its benefits, and we must engage in it as we see that other countries have achieved rest by engaging in protest, especially peaceful protests.

We must also learn to combine other resources such as round table conversations and mediation to protest; the most recent #EndSars protest held in the country was monumental; citizens residing in other countries joined in from China, Russia, Singapore, and many other countries because Nigerians are everywhere.

That protest singlehandedly brought to the fore emerging issues and had people know that it is not okay to live in bondage and it is not okay to encourage oppressive governance. It was a first effort and yes without or with protest, people will still suffer loss of life, hunger, and other natural occurrences, however, if we fold our arms and decide to do nothing, more and more people will be exposed to such vulnerabilities

It has gotten to the point that people cannot walk without fear of being mugged, people who visit ATMs are deathly scared of their journey back home, the roads are not safe, the vehicles are also not safe and to crown it all up, the people who should protect us and keep the country safe attack the vulnerable ones amongst us.
