Sketchtember Day 2: Cardigan

Hello and I am back for day 2! So good so far, right? I think so UwU For day 2 it is cardigan and I ended up drawing a coat but you know how these Korean cardigans have been popping up recently and they're as long as coats so Tha kind of gave me an idea on what I wanted to do. So you may have noticed that I've mostly been doing black and whites recently. Well, that's because black and white is the only mood I have these days. Maybe I'll add a bit of color here and there when my mood kind of recovers but like... after that break up, I feel like my lofe just dulled and drawing plus running is the only things that distract me now. Aside from the survey apps I've been glued to too.
Anyway, here is my sad man.

Duration: 2 hours, almost 2.5 because I had to do another ink layer
Materials, black ink and pen, white pen

So for my progression, I had ink these pages in advance and just had to sketch. IDK I struggle with drawing on plain white paper no and no matter what I do, I need a base color now. It's more of just finding something that works for my eyes so that it doesn't seem like I need to over shade or anything, it's why I do this on all my drawings.

So here is the rough sketch then the start of my inking process

Then I started working on my initial pen layer while also working out some rough details. It looked pretty good and I didn't even need to think I had an awkward point in drawing this one. IDK I think the newfound focus just made things run more smoothly for me. And because I don't even have any form of distractions now so I guess this will be me for the next few months.

Then I started re-inking the background again and I kind of regret using regular tape instead of washing tape because it tore a bit of my drawing so I had to go over that again too

Then while waiting for the outside ink to dry, I did my highlights a little. Erased some pars and smudged some parts and that was it!

And that is all from me for today! I feel a little sick today so I couldn't really do much writing. I think my immune system is reacting pretty badly to the break up so IDK if I'll be able to finish this sketchtember but that's day 2 for me and I am quite happy with the outcome of this one!
