Travelling is a way of living, it helps us get better perspective of who we are and things outside our comfort zone. Traveling is about enriching our lives, creating memories and creating new friendships. Travelling exposes us to learn about different cultures and how others live.
I have been privileged to travel to some states in Nigeria but nothing outside the country and still I have learnt a lot. I have been to Delta state, Imo state, Rivers state, Oyo state and Lagos state.
When I had the opportunity to live in Port Harcourt in rivers state, at first it wasn't easy been in a place where I have no friends or even a family member. it was the first time really living in a place alone by myself, with time I made friends who became family. They took me to places to hangout in Port Harcourt, like the Pleasure Park, karaoke bar, woodhouse cafe and I also visited other towns like okirika, Elele, Eleme, Rumuokoro and so many other places. I learnt how to eat Afang soup and oha soup in Port Harcourt though it’s not a rivers state native soup. I visited one of their big market which is called oil mill market, it’s a market where you have to keep close to those you went with if not, you both might miss yourself in the market, you also have to be very careful with your bags. In all it was a wonderful experience living in port Harcourt, meeting people who loved me like we have known our sleeves all our life, being welcomed with open arms even in their families .I am forever grateful for the experience to live on my own and create beautiful memories.
I have also travelled to Lagos on different purposes, having a family who lives in Lagos was also an added advantage because getting an accommodation is not quite easy or someone to help you out with places you want to visit. Going out on your own can be stressful and tiring when asking for directions from some people either they can't respond to you in English or they are giving you wrong directions😂😂 I haven't really been to many places but the few I have visited was lovely. For now the place i really loved when I visited was the Landmark beach, coming from a state that doesn't have beach it was an exciting experience for me, seeing everyone just carefree, playing sports. It was blissful; it gives the feeling of being relaxed and satisfied. Standing inside the sea, hearing the crashing waves and feeling the cool breeze it’s an experience I will love to have over and over again.

It is good to travel with people that like to walk, I like to explore new places and we spare a lot of our time just walking around the city and visiting places, we didn't know where we were going, but we felt safe and as its a small city, it is not easy to get lost. just follow the flow and after a while, you will be mesmerized by another beautiful place.

I love travelling as you do, but not to many places as you do.
