Where is the peace that we seek when we kill one another?
Do we now have a price on human lives that makes people take it cheaply?
Where has humanity gone to and where is the essence of it?
Lives being lost and sold on a cheap, built on the ego of another human
Where has the peace gone to and why has it eluded every human?
The world needs more love, more peace and no more chaos as we have seen
We are to have life easier and better for everyone as we have been
How do we give peace when we lacked the will to pursue it?
A lot of people profit from the chaos which makes them fight against peace
Ego, greed, selfishness and tussle for power has been the major causes
We need to let the power of love overcome the love of power
Only then can we experience the peace that we desire and seek for
Children are scared for their parents as they go in search of daily meals
They are scared of the future they haven't even lived in yet
Children are supposed to enjoy living and not live in fear due to a lack of peace
You can see the turmoil even from the sound of the trees
Just like Judas, we have so many people who deceive with the kiss
Robbing every man of the life of peace, ease and bliss
Their words are as smooth as oil but they cut deeper than a knife
Peace is all we seek for and not deception
We are to mirror hope to others, that should be our reflection
We can only have peace in the world we live in
When we let go of greed and selfishness - a bold confession
It's hard to attain peace when the human heart has failed to truly love
The events going on in the world calls for urgent attention as we have chaos everywhere. The recent events with Russia and Ukraine show that we have lost regard for human lives as long as our ego is intact. Humanity should run deeper but we don't regard one another which makes the peace we are expected to have, threatened. There is no value in living when peace eludes us.
To get justice is to seek for peace and anyone who averts justice threatens the peace. Corruption, siphoning of public funds to private pockets all threaten the peace we seek because there are those who would suffer from those actions. We don't need more politicians, we don't need more money but we need more peace.
What's the value of money when you don't have the peace to spend it? What's the value of buying cars and building houses or even starting your business when there is no peace to enjoy them and watch your business thrive? With more peace, a lot of things would work out and thrive which would serve as a good foundation for greater things to exist. Peace is a good foundation for other things to thrive.
I am in agreement with @clayboyn's post Mindfulness and Contentment where he spoke on the importance of mental and inner peace. Most people can't give the world peace if they don't have it in them to give.
