One of the great things about the HIVE ecosystem is the lack of censorship. Unfortunately, that means trolls and spammers still get to continue their nonsense even after being downvoted into negative reputation territory. Some of these mental misfits have convinced themselves that the solution to their woes is doing more of the same things that got them downvoted in the first place. Genius!

Anyhow, they seem to believe I am part of a super secret conspiracy. Reason has failed. Ignoring them has not brought an end to their spam. So I decided to amuse myself with some poetic replies. Since these replies are to comments most folks will never see thanks to most Hive frontends (including PeakD, my usual choice) hiding them by default (thanks, guys, seriously!), I decided to share them here in a post. Why let that work go to waste?

I know most of my posts avoid personal conflict, but if you've been subjected to this spam campaign, I hope it amuses you. And if you thrive on drama, here's some hot tea!

A Limerick for LOLZ

I wish you would stop posting spam,
But it's clear that you don't give a damn.
You call it the "truth,"
But it's really uncouth,
Your smooth brain must weigh only a gram!

Assorted Haiku

Yapping Chihuahua,
Sees everyone as a foe,
Deserves a swift kick.

I simply cannot understand why people feel the need to come here to glaze that pointless fork. If it's so good, you would be there right now. But you're here, spamming. Not such a great advertisement for no downvotes there, is it?

Unable to learn,
And ignoring sage advice,
The spammer persists.

I usually comment to explain why I downvote people, and I try to offer helpful advice. Some heed it. Others, less so.

You could have just stopped.
Instead, you chose to annoy.
You earned your downvotes.

Complain in haiku.

I think I've had my fun. This has achieved nothing, and I'm no longer inspired or amused by this. I'm not going to bother naming names, especially since I suspect they'll out themselves by commenting here anyway. I do occasionally find it useful to track their payout feeds and see who else they're harassing. Sometimes I even find interesting people to follow. For example, I discovered @sosadnomad that way.
