El frutero ||| The fruit seller
I like to vary as much as possible the kind of repertoire I present here at Hive. And that's why I've left aside the music I've worked with most of my life, as is the cañonera music.
This Venezuelan merengue, "El frutero" (The fruit seller) belongs to that genre and the author is a great musician from La Guaira, one of the most important in that region, Cruz Felipe Iriarte. This song has been recorded countless times, although it is a debt I owe with the group Los Cañoneros.
This excellent piece is my entry in the Hive Open Mic, week 17.
Me gusta variar lo más posible el tipo de repertorio que presento acá en Hive. Y por eso he dejado a un lado la música con la que he trabajado la mayor parte de mi vida, como lo es la música cañonera.
Este merengue venezolano, "El frutero", pertenece a ese género y el autor es un gran músico de La Guaira, uno de los más importantes de esa región, Cruz Felipe Iriarte. Esta canción ha sido grabada innumerables veces, aunque es una deuda pendiente que tengo con el grupo Los Cañoneros.
Esta excelente pieza es mi participación en el Hive Open Mic, semana 17.

Español: Esta suena como la banda sonora de un alegre mercado de agricultores, con colores vibrantes y pájaros cantando. Parece encajar bien con el título de la canción. Es una excelente interpretación de una melodía de movimiento rápido. También me gusta la forma en que manejaste tu videografía aquí, con la luz del sol brillando sobre ti y tu cuatro, enfatizando tu increíble velocidad y delicadeza.
English: This one sounds like a soundtrack for a joyous farmers market, with vibrant colors and birds singing. Seems to fit the song title well. It's an excellent performance of a fast-moving melody. I like the way you've managed your videography here too, with the sunlight shining on you and your cuatro, emphasizing your amazing speed and finesse.
This week I forgot to put in the lyrics, but you got the essence of the song, because it's basically about what you mention.
