FROM PROTEST TO PANDEMONIUM

"The previous year, the school had increased the fees, the students were already feeling the financial burden of the country, and then the vice councilor insisted on making it even more difficult for them.we'd grumbled about it, but mostly just accepted it. But this new increase was too much to bear. We couldn't afford to pay it, and we knew that many of our coursemates would be in the same situation.we requested to pay in installment instead of all at once, the VC insisted we pay in full, which is just somehow,he walked into the exam hall to chase away the students still unable to pay theirs🤦 knowing fully well it'll attract extra year to students going for IT(internship) and the final year student. We felt like the administration was only thinking about their own interests, and not about the students they were supposed to serve.the student decided to make a protest so as to create awareness and show our distress on the matter at hand, and to get the attention of the administration, some students acted out of anger and damaged some of the school properties, just when we thought we'd made our point, the administration announced that they would be closing the school for 3 weeks. It was a shocking turn of events, and we were all left scrambling to figure out what to do next. The administration wasn't talking about the reduction of the fee or paying in installments, they are talking about the damages made."In the end, while we were sad to see the school close, we knew that it wasn't the end of our story. We learned the importance of community, and of working together for the common good. And though we lost a physical space, we gained something even more valuable: the knowledge that we could make a difference.
