Between class work and ranch work and life work, I am the embodiment of work. But, I am pretty beyond okay with it, as I have just four semesters to go, I feel like I am on the downhill slope of things. Remind me I said that later.
My life lately has been equal parts reading, paper writing, and tasking. I do manage to sneak in a hike in this beautiful realm I am living in from time to time, which is never a sad thing, and I'm starting to get a little bit of a concerned awareness inkling in the recesses of my overtasked brain as I have more than a bit of traveling to do over the next six weeks.
To start with, a trip to Oregon to my grandma's celebration of life is coming up next weekend. The hubs and I are going to swing down, pick up a rental truck, collect our daughter and her fiance, and head to the Columbia River Gorge. It will be a bittersweet trip. I was just there in May to visit Grams. I miss her, one of the highlights of my month were the letters and cards I would write and mail to her, no matter how busy I was. My mom said she loved them, and I loved sending them to her.
After getting back from the celebration with the fam, I have to house sit my own house because our daughter and future son-in-law are going on a trip to Arizona. I am sure the Flabs, the Grandpuppy, and I will get into all sorts of mischief while I'm there. It's to be expected. Maybe I will even leave dirty dishes in the sink and have a house party and not clean up after myself! WOO!
After that, I get to come back home for a couple weeks and then head off to Chicago to Naval Station Great Lakes to see the boy graduate from boot camp. We are gonna have his girlfriend with us while we are there, it should be pretty excellent, and I am excited that the hubs and I are going on a road trip adventure to and from there, gonna make a few stops to look at things along the way.
So, until mid-October, things are gonna keep humming along like the almost outta control freight train that my life has been for the past few years. I would like to think I may get to shut it down a bit for winter then, but I'm not getting my hopes up too much, Life seems to have other ideas for me when it comes to getting up to living.
Overall though, all this change is good for me, I am learning new, and hopefully healthier ways to be, am making sure I take some time daily to care for the carcass and self, and most of all, am trying to just be. Life is short, so am I, so I am trying to enjoy every second of it!
YAY GROWTH!!

And here I thought you’d be slowing down in the new place…. Maybe when winter comes…
Sorry to hear about your grandma passing. But cool about the graduation. Bummer about the TV, though the picture is rather cool…
I am starting to think "slow" and "Kat" may never inhabit the same sentence lol lol!
The tv saga got even more exciting, I'll have to write about it, in fact, it's still ongoing lol!
Hope you are having a splendid weekend my dear friend😊
