How great that you found really nice people at the hostel, and that they understood what the meaning of the exchange was. Without a doubt, they were kind to give you an extra day so you could see more places in the city.
What a beautiful place, the landscape is incredible, beautiful photographs, it was definitely worth the accommodation expense.
