Disconnecting from reality for a while can be a great plan when you combine all the necessary elements to make it happen: free time, good friends, a beautiful place and a special reason to celebrate. This is what happened on my sister's birthday weekend, when after organizing for a long time, we managed to achieve the idea we wanted so much. I enjoy traveling alone a lot, but I love making plans with my loved ones just as much, so every time I have the opportunity to do so I don't miss it 💕.
Desconectarse un rato de la realidad puede ser un gran plan cuando se combinan todos los elementos necesarios para que suceda: tiempo libre, buenas amigas, un lugar hermoso y un motivo especial para celebrar. Esto es lo que pasó en el fin de semana del cumpleaños de mi hermana, cuando después de organizarnos por un largo tiempo, logramos concretar la idea que tanto queríamos. Disfruto bastante viajar sola, pero hacer planes con mis seres queridos me encanta por igual, así que cada vez que tengo la oportunidad de hacerlo no la desaprovecho 💕.
The last time I had been to Tigre was about eight years ago, when we also organized a trip with a group of school friends. I think that if you live near the city of Buenos Aires, going to this area is almost mandatory to spend a few days away from the noise of the people. Most of these houses are vacation homes, so perhaps on weekdays there is not so much movement, plus each one has a large green space that makes everything even more intimate. Whatever your plan is, it is a good option to do something different ❣️.
La última vez que había ido a Tigre había sido hace unos ocho años, cuando también organizamos un paseo con un grupo de amigos de la escuela. Creo que si vivís cerca de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, ir hasta esta zona es casi obligatorio para pasar unos días lejos del ruido de la gente. La mayoría de estas casas son de vacaciones, por lo que quizás en días de semana no haya tanto movimiento, además de que cada una tiene un gran espacio verde que vuelve todo aún más intimo. Sea cual sea tu plan, es una buena opción para hacer algo diferente ❣️.
Getting to the delta islands is quite simple and inexpensive: just go to the river station a few meters from the train station and take the public boat. This has a very low cost, only $1 per ticket and can drop you off at any house you want. Each of these properties has a dock, so you can get off at the one you want. The only thing you have to pay attention to is the direction of the place you want to go: here there are no streets, but there are rivers and each boat takes a different route. For this, it is better to get information before you go, unless you want to get lost among the different islands 😂.
Llegar hasta las islas del delta es bastante sencillo y económico: solo basta con ir hasta la estación fluvial a pocos metros de la estación de trenes y tomar la lancha colectiva. Esta tiene un costo muy bajo, solo $1 por pasaje y puede dejarte en cualquier casa que quieras. Cada una de estas propiedades tiene un muelle, así que se puede bajar en la que desees. Lo único a lo que hay que prestar atención es a la dirección del lugar al que querés ir: acá no hay calles, pero hay ríos y cada lancha hace un recorrido diferente. Para esto, es mejor informarse antes de ir, a menos que quieras quedar perdido entre las distintas islas 😂.
Using this weekend to relax with my friends was something I really needed. Also, being in the context of a birthday celebration, it was all very joyful and helped me to catch up with the girls after a two month long trip in San Juan. Maybe I didn't realize it at the time, but after being away from my family and loved ones for so long I had started to miss them a bit ❤️.
Usar este fin de semana para relajarme con mis amigas fue algo que realmente necesitaba. Además, al estar en el marco del festejo de un cumpleaños, todo fue muy alegre y me sirvió para ponerme al día con las chicas después de un largo viaje de dos meses en San Juan. Quizás en ese momento no me daba cuenta, pero después de estar tanto tiempo lejos de mi familia y seres queridos había empezado a extrañarlos un poco ❤️.
What I like most about the islands is that everything here functions as a regular neighborhood, with several permanent residents, businesses, medical care center, police station and even a school for the children. I can't imagine what life must be like here, surely a little quieter than in the city but not so far away from it. Undoubtedly the islanders have a privileged place within the province of Buenos Aires and it is good that every now and then we can go to visit that area taking a little walk ❤️.
Lo que más me gusta de las islas es que todo acá funciona como un barrio regular, con varios residentes permanentes, negocios, centro de atención médica, estación de policia e incluso escuela para los niños. No me imagino como debe ser la vida acá, seguramente un poco más tranquila que en la ciudad pero sin alejarse tanto de ella. Sin dudas los isleños tienen un lugar privilegiado dentro de la provincia de Buenos Aires y es bueno que cada tanto nosotros podamos ir a visitar esa zona dando algún pequeño paseo ❤️.
This walk with friends served to recharge my good energy and disconnect from everything for a while. I think that every now and then we should all do something like this, that allows us to enjoy with our loved ones and generate good memories with them. I hope it won't be another 8 years before I return to the islands of Tigre because they are really beautiful. Now that I'm a responsible adult with my own salary, I'm sure that I will be able to go there a little more often ❤️.
Este paseo con amigas sirvió para recargar mis buenas energías y desconectarme de todo un rato. Pienso que cada tanto todos deberíamos hacer algo así, que nos permita disfrutar con nuestros seres queridos y generar buenos recuerdos con ellos. Espero que no tengan que pasar otros 8 años para que regrese a las islas de Tigre porque en verdad son muy lindas. Ahora que soy un adulto responsable y con un sueldo propio, estoy segura de que voy a poder ir hasta allá un poco más seguido ❤️.

What a great place to hang out with friends :). And I agree with you; for once in a while, we have to disconnect from everything to connect with nature and friends and, of course, to great and recharge ourselves to avoid burnout.
Totally, it is necessary to have this kind of plans with friends to know that it is worth the money earned in the jobs hahaha. It was a great experience ❤️.

The theme of the rivers was great, there were wide ones as main avenues and smaller ones as internal streets. Of course I would get lost, but I think the islanders have it well studied 😅.
