AN ART-FILLED EXPERIENCE TO ENCOUNTER THE INNER SELF | FINAL SEMESTER PROJECTS EXHIBITION [ENG/ESP]

This week the final semester projects were due at the University of Arts. A friend of mine who studies the same specialty as me, "Mixed Media," asked me for help with his final installation, which consisted of hanging several objects on the walls of a hallway on the first floor of the university that would generate interaction with viewers passing by. The day before the project was due, we set about installing the supports where each of the pieces would hang, since some of them were very heavy. We were there until almost 8:00 p.m. I'm always one of the last to leave that university.
Esta semana se llevó a cabo la entrega de los proyectos finales de semestre en la Universidad de Artes, un amigo que estudia la misma especialidad que estudio yo, los "Medios mixtos" me pidió el apoyo para hacer su instalación de entrega final, que consistía en colgar en las paredes de un pasillo en el primer piso de la universidad varios objetos con los que se generara una interacción con los espectadores que pasen por el lugar. un día antes de su entrega nos pusimos a instalar lo apoyos donde irían colgadas cada una de las piezas, ya que algunas eran muy pesadas, allí duramos casi hasta las 8:00pm, siempre soy de los últimos en salir de esa universidad.
On the day of the presentation, students from different specialties presented their final projects (I also presented my final project, but I will share that in another post) there were several very creative luminaries of the Design specialty students distributed throughout various sectors of the university, but they presented their final projects the following week, since they were going to make a presentation together with all the Design levels, up to this point all the students had not finished their work, that is why only for those from Design they extended their presentation by a week.
El día de la presentación, cursantes de diferentes especialidades presentaban son proyectos finales (Yo también presente mi proyecto final, pero ese lo compartiré en otra publicación) habían varias luminarias muy creativas de los cursantes de la especialidad de Diseño distribuidas por varios sectores de la universidad, pero ellos presentan sus proyectos finales la siguiente semana, ya que iban a hacer una presentación en conjunto con todos los niveles de Diseño, hasta este momento todos los cursantes no había culminado sus trabajos, por eso solo para los de Diseño extendieron una semana su presentación.
The installation by Aron (the friend who asked me for my support) had several very interesting and profound concepts, which could generate extensive philosophical debates. It was about being, the "I", the self-portrait, observing oneself and questioning existence by seeing one's own reflection in each of the mirrors that were distributed throughout the space of that hallway. We closed the entrance at each end of the hallway with curtains and that generated the effect of entering an existential portal in which you travel through the timeline of your life, between the past that tells the story, the future that dreams show and the uncertain present that now awaits us, filling the mind of humanity with uncertainty (or well, that's what it generated for me when I dared to enter that immersive portal that my friend Aron installed).
La instalación de Aron (el amigo que me pidió el apoyo) tenía varios conceptos muy interesante y profundos, que podría generar extensos debates filosóficos trataba sobre el ser, el "Yo", el autorretrato, observarse y cuestionar la existencia al ver su propio reflejo en cada uno de los espejos que estaban distribuidos por el espacio de ese pasillo, cerramos la entrada de cada extremo del pasillo con una cortinas y eso genero un efecto de introducirse en un portal existencial en el que recorres por la línea temporal de tu vida, entre el pasado que cuenta la historia, el futuro que muestran los sueños y el presente incierto que ahora nos espera llenando de incertidumbre la mente de la humanidad, ( o bueno eso es lo que a mí me genero cuando me atreví a adentrarme en ese portal inmersivo que instalo el amigo Aron).
Another colleague from the Mixed Media who presented his piece was "Sake" who delighted us with an installation work, or rather using the correct term it would be a "video sculpture" where with a strong concept he shows us how new technologies have been dismantling and destroying their predecessors, but with cynicism we are left with the question of what will the future hold for us? Will technology continue to replace everything, even organic life itself? Very geeky ideas that come from the minds of UNEARTE students.
Otro compañero de los Medios Mixtos que presento su pieza fue "Sake" nos deleitó con una obra de instalación, o mejor dicho usando el termino correcto sería una "video escultura" en donde con un fuerte concepto nos muestra como las nuevas tecnología han ido desmantelando y destruyendo a sus predecesores, pero con cinismo nos queda la interrogante de ¿que nos deparara a nosotros para el futuro?, ¿seguirá la tecnología remplazando todo, hasta la misma vida orgánica?, ideas muy frikis que salen de las mentes de los estudiantes de UNEARTE.
That day I left the university a little late, because I stayed to see all the presentations, I always do it since I'm at the university, I find it very nutritious to see the creations of the other students and specialties, I learn a lot just by seeing their creation processes and the result of their internal research; soon I will be publishing my final projects so that the community can appreciate the process and result of my research. Ese día salí de la universidad un poco tarde, es que me quede a ver todas las presentaciones, siempre lo hago desde que estoy en la universidad, me parece muy nutritivo ver las creaciones de los demás cursantes y especialidades, aprendo muchísimo solo con ver sus procesos de creación y el resultado de sus investigaciones internas; pronto estaré publicando mis proyectos finales para que la comunidad pueda apreciar el proceso y resultado de mi investigación.
