To study again…

Who would have thought that at the age of 55 I would have to study again. In fact, I love to learn and do it all my life. But now it's a bit difficult. There is a war going on, I have a lot of work, I just don't have enough time and energy... and yet.

On Friday, my boss called me and asked if I had a certificate in English. I have three, but none of them was the one I needed for work. It's just a circus!

But there's nothing to do. I dived into the Internet in search of options to get what I need.

Of course, the Internet offers thousands of options for learning. But that's not what I was interested in. As for English, I need to improve my knowledge, but not critically. The main problem is to get a certificate that will be recognized by my employer. Therefore, I focused only on those courses that offer subsequent passing of the exam and obtaining a certificate.

Demand not only generates supply, but also forms the price. For the course I need, the price is just .... a nightmare. The full course costs as much as my salary for a month... But I'm afraid I have no options. The consolation for me is that the certificate I will receive will be indefinite.

I filled out the form and sent it. I hope they will contact me next week so that I can take a preliminary test and determine which group I will get into. For now, I need to solve the issue with financing. I'll probably have to contact my bank.

So far, without wasting time, I have found several podcasts by English authors, where language learning is offered. I started yesterday. I hope my efforts won't be in vain 😉

Studying again for a clear and personal goal is fun. It doesn't matter what age or skill level you're beginning from; a positive mindset and strategy can get you back into studying with confidence. Good luck! You can do it! 😇
