I’m thrilled to share some fantastic news: as of this morning, Hive Snaps—now officially @snapie—is live on Apple’s App Store! This definitely calls for a celebration… so let’s all go buy some cake, urgently.
From the very beginning of this little journey, our goal was to create an app that makes those first steps on Hive as easy as possible. We believe this first version achieves that, but there’s still plenty of room for growth and improvement—and we’re excited to keep building.
This app, dear friends, belongs to all of you: the community that believed in us, everyone who supported our posts, and every single person who voted for our humble proposal.
We deeply believe in the future of this chain, and we felt compelled to add our contribution. Hive Snaps isn’t just an app we built—it’s an investment we’ve all made together.
We’re incredibly grateful for your support.

Your German is still great - but the Krokodil is called Schnappi with the famous German "sch" lol - but could be the anthem for @snapie - maybe international versions exist oder can be produced (as Schnappi is not German but from Egypt) 😀

Actually was very excited about this project since it has this amazing beginning - the name. Many projects are nearly dead from the very beginning because of bad names. Snapie sounds amazing to my ear at least.
Secondly, screenshots look decent. (Couldn't try the app myself since I am in between phones - the old one is very old and I am going to buy new soon). If Snapie isn't super slow and buggy, that d be a good chance for Hive. Many people too busy for big forms of content.
Thirdly, it's possible to "sell" the app to people imo easily through a narrative like "wanted to join the blockchain era but didn't know where to start and felt like a dumbass? Download Snapie for sharing your thoughts and snapshots and get rewarded with crypto! Earn and invest in stablecoins and sleep well while your government is failing with the national currency! See you on Snapie!" lol.
And also... short content app means we don't need much voting power to curate content - means more people can join and feel satisfied with upvotes. And that opens a new potential thing: an opportunity of creating non-English chats for onboarding thousands of people.
So... I think this feast of imagination can be considered more than a cake :D

Lads using it now and I really like it. One thing on the post interface on the IOS. Should there be a "Snap" button seeing that you guys are called Snapie and all that jazz . At the moment its takey photoy and savey to your gallery and theny selecty the photoy and then posty app. 😃. Anyway Im sure you will add it. Great job

Hi, this is a very friendly idea … would you maybe add the word “snappier” in the title or description? I was searching in the AppStore by snapie name and could not find it. I see now that it is named hive snaps
