How is your summer going?
This year I spend most of the summer outside the city, where lately I have been spending a lot of time landscaping in my garden, as well as growing organic vegetables, fruits, berries and different flowers. I love to grow flowers so much!
The amazing flowers you see in the photos were not grown by me. 😆 I found this inspiring art installation at a Shopping Mall Respublika Park (Kyiv, Ukraine) last weekend.

Ті з вас, хто читають мої дописи, знають, що я дуже люблю квіти, і вирощую їх у своєму саду, а також професійно вивчаю флористику і маю хист до створення квіткових композицій. Але ці дивовижні квіти, які ви бачите на фотографіях, вирощені не мною. 😆 Я несподівано для самої себе знайшла цю надихаючу арт-інсталяцію минулих вихідних в київському ТРЦ Respublika Park.
Wow! What shapes and colors, and these gigantic sizes of flowers! An incredible interior design idea! As soon as I saw this installation, my mood lifted and I decided to take several photos of this artwork from different angles.
Вау! Які форми і кольори, і ці гігантські розміри квітів! Неймовірна ідея дизайну інтер'єру! Як тільки я побачила цю інсталяцію, у мене одразу піднявся настрій, оскільки останній тиждень він був геть нерадісний, і я вирішила зробити кілька фотографій цієї композиції з різних ракурсів, аби відволіктися на прекрасне.
Для українських читачів хочу дати невеличке пояснення, що таке інсталяція. Це мистецький об'єкт, який за своїм художнім задумом нагадує своєрідну гру з тим, хто на нього дивиться. Позаяк сприйняття об'єкта зумовлене його просторовим розташуванням і певним змістовним контекстом. Саме слово “інсталяція” походить від дієслова "to install", що в перекладі з англійської означає встановлювати, монтувати. Власне, це і відрізняє інсталяцію від інших жанрів художнього мистецтва, яка, як пише Вікіпедія, "передбачає технічні аспекти виготовлення. Її не "малюють", не "пишуть", а саме встановлюють, складають з окремих частин". Це якраз чудово демонструє тимчасовий мистецький об'єкт інтер'єру в зоні парку-Оазисі торгового центру Respublika Park.
It seems that the whole construction of this art object is so light and freely held in the air. But in fact, it is firmly fixed at the bottom in a kind of flower pot, and from above it is held on barely noticeable metal cables. The material from which this composition is made is ultra-light and flexible plastic.
На перший погляд може здатися, що вся конструкція цього арт-об'єкта така легка і вільно тримається в повітрі. Але насправді вона міцно закріплена внизу в своєрідному квітковому горщику, а зверху тримається на ледь помітних металевих тросах. Матеріал, з якого виготовлено цю композицію, якийсь надлегкий і піддатливий для вигинів пластик.
The composition is placed on a kind of podium, which has a bright painting with flowers. You can also see small bees here. 🐝 This floral pattern is a large sticker that has been temporarily stuck on the floor. The floral painting on the floor resembles or is even a certain stylization of the Ukrainian Petrykivка painting, which is included in the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013. By the way, the flowers of the installation itself also stylize the Petrykivка painting.
If you look for a long time at the butterflies and dragonflies that are placed almost under the dome of the ceiling, you get the illusion that they are moving. At such moments, you fully understand the meaning and nature of the installation's impact on the viewer. After all, it is an art object, which, according to its artistic design idea, resembles a kind of game with people who look at it. Because the perception of an object is determined by its spatial location and a certain meaningful context.
Композиція розміщена на своєрідному подіумі, який має яскравий розпис квітами (майже як Петриківський розпис, який, до речі, ще у 2013 році був внесений до Списку нематеріальної культурної спадщини Юнеско). Між іншим, квіти самої інсталяції теж стилізують петриківський розпис. Також тут можна побачити симпатичних маленьких бджіл, ну умовно маленьких. Але насправді цей квітковий візерунок - це велика наклейка, яку тимчасово приклеїли на підлогу білого "подіуму". Якщо довго дивитися на метеликів і бабок, які розміщені майже під куполом стелі, створюється ілюзія, що вони рухаються.
I don't know the author of this installation and how much time he or she spent creating such a big composition. It was necessary to manufacture so many parts separately and then fasten them into a complete composition. It really fascinates me so much. The flight of the artist's imagination is amazing. Summer flowers, butterflies fluttering in the air. It was a pleasure to walk through this inspiring meadow. I hope you enjoyed it too. 😊
Despite the fact, that there is a war in our country, Ukrainians continue to create, draw, paint pictures and write books, build new architectural objects, plant flowers and create installations in which the cultural identity of the Ukrainian nation is embedded. It is impossible to destroy the earthly paradise, where there are so many flowers and where the life-giving spirit of the Creator lives in almost every one of us. Я не знаю автора цієї інсталяції, і скільки часу він чи вона витратив на створення такої велетенської за розмірами композиції. Але політ фантазії художника вражає. Літні квіти, пурхають метелики, здається, що навіть у повітрі витає квітковий аромат. Від споглядання цієї творчої роботи аж на душі стає легше. Так приємно було прогулятися цією надихаючою галявиною. Сподіваюся, вам теж сподобалось.
Попри те, що в нашій країні йде жорстока, кровопролитна війна, українці продовжують творити, малювати, писати картини та книги, зводити нові архітектурні об’єкти, садити квіти та створювати інсталяції, в яких закладена культурна ідентичність української нації. Неможливо знищити земний рай, де так багато квітів, і де животворчий дух Творця живе майже в кожному з нас. Дякую всім, хто прочитав цей допис до кінця, а не лише нашвидкоруч переглянув фото. Бо зміст завжди має значення.
