Hello friends. Accepting the invitation that my friend @feiderman made me to participate in his recent initiative on architecture in my city, today I bring you these very emblematic colossi in the central area of Maracaibo, Zulia State.
These Atlantes are located on each side of a building that served as a pharmacy or pharmacy. Each weighs two and a half tons, supports the building's façade and is sculpted in Italian marble .
The monuments are known to all citizens as the giants of downtown Maracaibo. So there is no way to get lost to find the address. Before the Apothecary there was a two-story house that served as a city registry, later it belonged to General Rafael Urdaneta, but he never lived in the house, so it was sold to the Bellosos who demolished it and created the first clinical laboratory.
The work was known as the first skyscraper since it was the first construction to have 4 floors. The work had an approximate cost of half a million Bolívares.

Hola amigos. Aceptando la invitación que me hiciera mi amigo @feiderman a participar en su reciente iniciativa sobre la arquitectura en mi ciudad, hoy les traigo estos colosos muy emblemáticos en el casco central de Maracaibo, Estado Zulia.
Estos Atlantes están ubicados a cada lado de un edificio que servía de Botica o Farmacia. Cada uno pesa dos toneladas y media, sirven de soporto a la fachada del edificio y están esculpidos en mármol Italiano.
Los monumentos son conocidos por todo el ciudadano como los gigantes del centro de Maracaibo. Así que no hay forma de perderse para encontrar la dirección. Anterior a la Botica existía una casa de dos plantas que fungió como registro de la ciudad, luego perteneció al General Rafael Urdaneta, pero este nunca habitó la casa por lo que fue vendida a los Belloso quienes la derrumbaron y crearon el primer laboratorio clínico.
La obra fue conocida como el primer rascacielos ya que era la primera construcción en tener 4 pisos. La obra tuvo un costo aproximado de medio millón de Bolívares.
