All women are a bit of a witch, don't you agree? This is a joke, of course. Nevertheless, it is the desire to bring a little bit of magic and charm to everyday life that is inherent in women that makes each of us a witch.
An interesting and very atmospheric Halloween holiday is coming up. Some countries prepare for it in advance. People have been buying pumpkins and other holiday attributes for a month to decorate their homes and yards. And the more eerie the decorations, the more colourful the Halloween celebration will be. But what about Ukraine?
In fact, this is a borrowed holiday. But because of its colourfulness, interesting history and mysterious, otherworldly atmosphere, many Ukrainians have fallen in love with it. And if you need Halloween attributes, then perhaps the best place to buy them is the Witch's Cauldron shop. The magic shop is located in Kyiv's Podil district. This place is symbolic, as it is very close to Bald Mountain, which is a traditional gathering place for all witches and wizards (legend).

Всі жінки трішечки відьми, чи ви згодні зі мною? Це звичайно жарт. Та попри це, саме бажання внести крапельку чарівності та магії в повсякденне життя, що притаманні жінкам, роблять кожну з нас чарівницею.
Поререду цікаве та дуже атмосферне свято Хеловін. В деяких країнах завчасно готуються до нього. Люди вже цілий місяць скуповуюють гарбузи та інші атрибути свята, щоб прикрасити дім і подвір'я. І чим моторошніші будуть декорації, тим яскравішим буде святкування Хеловіну. А що ж в Україні?
Насправді, це запозичене свято. Та через його колоритність, цікаву історію та загадкову, потойбічну атмосферу, полюбилося воно багатьом українцям. І якщо потрібні атрибути до Хеловіну, то мабуть, найкращим місцем, де їх можна придбати, є магазин "Відьмин котел". Розташована магічна крамниця в Києві на Подолі. Це місце є символічним, адже зовсім поряд Лиса гора, що є традиційним місцем збору всіх відьом та чаклунок (легенда).
From the very beginning, visitors are enveloped in the scent of magic. This is the effect of a huge number of scented candles, spices and dried herbs. The colours in the store are mostly muted and dark. It is not surprising - the goods are "serious" after all. The first thing that catches your eye is the dream catchers. They are black. Mostly the central figure is the moon. This is symbolic, because dark deeds are done at night, under the watchful eye of the moon. Black lace and feathers complete the eerie effect.
For those who are planning to make potions, there are cauldrons for different tastes, just like in Harry Potter. In addition, there is a whole bunch of spices and mixtures, which, by the way, can not only be smelt but also tasted.
З самого поргу відвідувачів огортає аромат магії. Це ефект від величезної кількості ароматичних свічок, спецій і сушених трав. Кольри в магазині переважають приглушені, темні. Воно й не дивно - все ж товари "серйозні". Перше, що кидається в очі - це ловці снів. Вони чорні. В основному центральна фігура, то місяць. Це символічно, адже темні справи робляться саме в ночі, під пильним поглядом місяця. Чорне мереживо і пір'я довершують моторошиний ефект.
Для тих, хто планує зайнятися зілляварінням є котли на різний смак, прямо як у "Гаррі Поттері". В додачу - ціла купа спецій і сумішей, які, до речі, можна не лише понюхати, а й спробувати на смак.
If you need skills in magic, you can buy a practical guide here. The book is very effectively designed, and so even if you don't want to do magic, you want to buy it. And where do you pour the magic mixtures to treat them: in a glass or a glass? No! You need a special glass for this. There are a lot of them in the Witches' Cauldron shop. Their stems are a separate topic. There are also dragons and three-headed snakes holding the container, and even a witch's hand.
If you are interested in flying, there is an assortment of brooms of different sizes for customers. And I immediately think of Harry Potter again. However, the brooms here are more reminiscent of our Ukrainian ones, which every janitor has.
Якщо потрібні навики в магічній справі, то тут можна придбати практичний посібник. Книга дуже ефектно оформлена, а тому навіть не маючи бажання чаклувати, хочеться купити її. А куди ж наливати чарівні суміші, щоб почастувати ними: в склянку, бокал? Ні! Для цього потрібен спеціальний келих. У крамничці "Відьмин котел" їх дуже багато. Їх ніжки, то окрема тема. Там є і дракони і трьохголові змії, що тримають ємність, та навіть відьмина рука.
Якщо цікавлять польоти, то для покупців є асортимент мітл різних розмірів. І зразу ж знову згадую Гаррі Поттера. Що правда тут мітли дужче нагадують наші українські, які має кожен двірник.
There are a lot of candles in the shop. They come in different colours and shapes. There are also scented ones. Of course, there are tarot cards of different sizes and shapes and crystal balls. There used to be a huge fortune-telling ball, but it was already bought, despite its outrageous price.
The shop itself was opened 11 years ago. Now, the Witch's Cauldron online store is also available. Not only women come here. Men shop here too. And why not?
In fact, this shop is very interesting and colourful. And even if you have nothing to do with magic or wizardry, it's worth visiting just to see an interesting and original place.
Дуже багато свічок у магазині. Вони тут різних кольорів та форм. До всього, ще й ароматичні. Звичайно ж є карти таро різних розмірів та форм та кришталеві кулі. Колись була величезна куля для передбачення, але її вже купили, попри космічну ціну.
Сам магазин відкрили 11 років тому. Зараз доступний, також, онлайн магазин "Відьмин котел". Сюди заходять не лише жінки. Чоловіки теж здійснюють покупки. А чом би й ні?
Насправді ця крамниця дуже цікава та колоритна. І навіть, не маючи жодного відношення до магії чи чарів, варто зайти туди, щоб просто побачити цікаве та оригінальне місце.
Wuaoo this esoteric visit has left me impressed, really nice I like all the colors and those candles in hand shapes are unique, I had not seen them, in my country they do not exist and the beautiful quartz, I like the ones in the shape of balls.
