The water in a mini fountain in a cozy courtyard sings softly. The place where I always find shade in the heat and rest for my soul - hotel restaurant "Aquarius" in Bryukhovychi. I often come here for shopping from my village Rokytne, which is at a distance of 7 km. Bryukhovychi is an elite small town surrounded by pine forests. Only 10 km from Lviv to relax and enjoy the comfort of this place. There are several good restaurants with fine Ukrainian and Bavarian cuisine, but only at the Aquarius can you relax in the open air, enjoying the beautiful landscaping and architecture.
For those who came by car, there is a private parking lot. Immediately to the left on the lawn is a wooden cart, and we are immersed in the eco atmosphere! The interior and design of the hotel and restaurant complex "AQUARIUS" was developed and embodied by designer Taras Turyansky. A unique recreation complex on 3 floors is a former Austro-Hungarian estate in Bryukhovychi, converted into a modern hotel and restaurant complex. The neat structure, erected on a forest glade, bathes in greenery in summer and is beautifully covered with snow in winter. The territory and interior are maintained in the original ethno-style. All finishing elements are made exclusively of natural materials: stone, wood, metal and glass. Here you can immerse yourself in a real vacation in the bosom of beautiful nature, with the singing of birds.
If you come to visit our ancient city of Lviv, you will find here cozy and comfortable rooms, made in a wooden style.
We choose a table near the fountain and usually order potato pancakes with sour cream. This is a favorite dish in the restaurant, because they take a long time to cook at home, and in the restaurant they are relatively inexpensive - about $ 2
Being here, I always have the pleasure to consider the design of this complex, finding many elements of wood that I admire: swings, benches, jugs, flowers near the stone walls, and other interesting and harmonious things.
At our table is the main masterpiece of this institution - a face carved from wood. I did not know the history of this work of art, but my opinion: he is a resident of the Carpathians, a strict Hotsul. And when I recently met the father of the hotel owner, it turned out that he was from the Carpathians.
And so I think that my opinion is close to the truth and next time I will learn more :)
Outdoors, behind our table is a cozy part of the yard, stylized in the style of a house with windows and curtains.
There are many ethno elements in the design - such as buckets, pots, Austrian brick in the pavement ...
On the right, near the base of the hotel, lined with stone and wood, grow roses that look harmonious against the background of the building and make this courtyard so beautiful that I want to stay here for a long time!
If you go inside the hotel, there are several more banquet halls. The design continues to be in a wooden style, and I take a few photos of the stairs to the second floor, where the hotel rooms are located. Also nicely made hygiene room, where the sink is made of stone.
Today I decided to order a Caesar salad and nowhere to hurry for a few hours. We brought our 81-year-old grandfather here and introduced him to the 83-year-old owner. They had something to talk about, and we continued to enjoy the design and rested on a wooden swing ๐

What a beautiful resort, I loved the washbasin design specially. Seems like you had great fun!
Looking forward to read more from you.

I agree! The washbasin is really rare and very beautiful. I'm glad you like it!
Hello @olga.maslievich. I truly love the rustic atmosphere of a well-designed hotel restaurant like Aquarius. Its wooden elements provide it the natural feel and would entice any visitor looking for a warm and cozy place to relax the spirits and dine, Though the name Aquarius is related to water and similar aquatic environments, I'm still curious as to why they named that establishment as such? What are your thoughts on this?
Oh, I'm glad that you, @storiesoferne, also likes this ethno style. Thank you for appreciating my post. I think "Aquarius" - because there is a small fountain in the middle of the yard, and there is always water gurgles. But I will ask the owners :)
With pleasure @olga.maslievich. And yes, I agree as to the water fountain in the central area of that hotel restaurant would be a clear and strong symbol of water - thus representing the name "Aquarius". Have a great day!
Well done @olga.maslievich! We're happy to inform you that this publication was specially curated and awarded the SILVER MARK in Architecture Brew #31. Congratulations!
