RE: Majestic ruins (25 photos)

Really a beautiful example of Gothic-style architecture, it is carrying a significant story so far still now though a large portion of the structure is almost ruined especially the exterior part. Remarkable detail work and the structure itself are worthy to explore. It is a beautiful Church...

Sort:

This Chapelle was originally designed as a ruin. This is not a cult building, but rather a museum for one sculpture - the sculpture of Christ the Savior. Christian services have never been held here. But the building is undoubtedly interesting.

I must admit that the architect did a very good job on the exterior visualization and achieved the perfect ruining atmosphere. Definitely an interesting Chapel and worthy to see.

The architect did his job superbly. There was also destruction by time, war and vandals. And then there was restoration ... but not very professional. I see new red bricks in the masonry, which are not as aged as they should be.
But still, this Chapelle is gorgeous as a ruin))
