Millennium city -Gurgaon!

in Architecture+Design3 years ago (edited)

Delhi NCR covers states such as Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. But the major city which is actually somewhat like Delhi and closest to Delhi is Gurgaon now known as Gurugram!
Gurgaon being the millennium city has the world class infrastructure and white collar employees & employers.

Couple of decades ago this city was nothing but unfertile land owned by poor villagers. To show how powerful architectural development is for the city, let me present the case of Gurgaon.
Delhi is the capital of India and has always been under high property rates forever. As compared to other states of India. Being really compact city by the size, but larger by the value. This city has faced huge competition in MNC's expansion.
As Gurgaon was barren but closest to Delhi so many real estate agents took this opportunity to Lure the foreign investors in investing into new infrastructure in Gurgaon and the main key player was DLF- Delhi Land and Finance.

They took the opportunity smarty and started the construction over there and that led to the formation of the best growing city of India which is now called Gurugram.

That's the green walk over bridge that connects Cyber hub to other office complexes. and that is beautifully designed with seating and greenery all over with pergolas and nice lighting.

Cyber hub has been talk of the hour and it has a huge influence over the economy and status of the city . Dlf built all these buildings from scratch and now they are the crown of the city which makes it a best place to live.

r2.jpg

It's like we live in a different world all glass beautiful buildings on the way. Roads are clean and beautiful and all due to the development by DLF builders.

But a really a really drastic thing which we needs to address is that there are some parts of Gurgaon which haven't been developed yet. which needs some attention rest there are multiple entertainment places, offices and great health care.

I have worked in an office over there which was a co-working place and it was such a great experience.

r4.jpg

Been to many offices as well and each office owes the best of class interior and services. Same is the case with world class hospitals over here. Although they are quite expensive but the treatment is possible and many people come to the city for that specific purpose and the hotel chains have a huge contribution in elevating the properties of Gurgaon and making it one of the best city of India to reside.

Concluding with a thought!

Architecture plays a vital role in development of any place be it city or a country as seen in Dubai and many more places. Here Gurgaon is just an example as to how much development could do good for the city it wasn't like the huge chunk of jungle was destroyed by DLF to create this concrete jungle but the land of Gurgaon was unfertile and had a huge spread village doing dairy business mostly . All of this was now turned into a great place for people to work, enjoy and live. It has become a millennium city for sure.

Have your country experienced such was development in such a little time span?

Hello Sahiba. How are you? I'd also like to assume that Gurgaon or Gurugram is called the Millennium City because most of its inhabitants are millennials, just saying. (Does that even make sense?...haha 😁) Congratulations on the rapid evolution of that city from an unfertile land owned by poor villagers to an ultra-modern metropolis - thanks to its massive real estate infrastructure. The metamorphosis of this formerly rural area into a highly urbanized zone is clear proof of how leapfrog development can drastically change a location's image and character for the better. Many thanks for this architectural story, and have a fabulous day!

Hi @storiesoferne I am good, Hope you're doing great.
Actually Millennials live here Lol! The evolution is actually massive the other day we were out and about shopping, my mum told me how the city was nothing when she was of my age and how it turned out to be so vibrant now. Although we live in Delhi but Gurgaon is so close we mostly hang out there. That bought me an idea to create a blog.
Anyways thanks a ton for appreciation and support.
Hope you have a great week :)

Wow, that's an amazing experience! Glad you had the chance to explore that city with your dearest mum. Have fun and stay safe always. 😊

Hello friend @sahiba-rana I greet you from Venezuela. It seems to me a beautiful experience of development and economic growth, I imagine that it will continue to grow and provide more job opportunities for everyone. I noticed a lot of cubes, is that the predominant style in the buildings? I liked. Receive a strong virtual hug full of blessings, positive energy and lots of light.

Me gustó. Recibe un fuerte abrazo virtual cargado de bendiciones, energía positiva y mucha luz.

Hello Dear friend!
I know it has been such a drastic evolution and absolutely no, the predominant style isn't cubes it's just this part which I clicked had such kind of buildings but the other part has so much unique kind of construction which is absolutely stunning.
Thanks for reading and appreciating, Hope you have a great week @marcosmilano71 :)

@sahiba-rana, sorry to see you have less Hive Power.
Your level lowered and you are now a Red Fish!

Hi Sahiba, I remember a project in a former firm I worked for, I came across a hotel proposal in Gurgaon. I don't think it was built, or maybe it was, not sure. I didn't know where Gurgaon was exactly in India at that time but I learned more about it through your post.

"But a really a really drastic thing which we need to address is that there are some parts of Gurgaon which haven't been developed yet."

Sounds like there are lots of opportunities for real estate which means more projects in the future? :)

Couple of decades ago this city was nothing but unfertile land owned by poor villagers.

Architecture engineering and technology paves the way for our cities to become what it is today. Gurgaon enjoys the progressive development that a once unfertile land, it thrives to be a city. Enjoy some !PIZZA
