Burned Fireplaces & Architecture Decoration - British Masterpiece

Large fireplaces with open fires are very common in British homes. They were designed to quickly heat the room. Built around one of the wall of the room. These fireplace are kind of smoke free and allow to maitain good temperature.

During earlier days, it was very common to have a fireplace at every home, but now with the passage of time and innovation of technology, fireplace are now replaced with room heater and blower. However in many old colonial building these fireplaces are preserved for their noble appearance and simple, elegant designs.

I was very much fascinated when , I come across one such British build fireplace. Which is now more of a architecture decor to the room. As we entered the big hall, filled with sofa and other furniture. The fireplace was hidden behind one of the big furniture, but still its elegance and beauty and more importantly it belongs to the colonial era expose them to my camera.

A Fireplace is more than just an Architectural Decoration in earlier times. As soon as the weather starts to become cold and less friendly we find refuge in our homes. And in many parts of the wprld a home doesn’t feel complete without a fireplace. While it adds beauty to room, it also allow to make us cozy , warm in extreme weather condituon.

Fireplaces were originally used to heat large buildings and, even though they’re no longer a main heat source these days, they’ve remained an important part of the decor in most British homes. Especially, the design. As I was exploring this fireplace of British Era, I found it was well designed. It has a strong wooden base on top.

It has enough space to keep some stuff. It was made up of from strong wood. It was followed by a Iron Cabinet at the bottom

Not sure however the mark of elegance can be seen in these Iron cabinet. It has well engraved desig with golden colour. A touch of class and beauty adding to the main cabinet. It was made up of iron only to avoid any mishappeneing.

The iron cabinet, is made up of iron bade at bottom and a cap hood on top. The top was looking like a hood to avoid smoke to spread.

While the base is too made up of iron grills, which is used to burn the coal and woods. It allow to get proper amber to heat up the place.

Looking at these old besutiful architecture, I was just wondering the lavish British lifestyle. In old big bungalows, fireplaces used to provide central heating. What once used to be a winter “hot spot”, have been reduced to mere relics of the British Raj in ministerial bungalows nowadays. It is really a yesteryear masterpiece that adds value to every home.

Time and hassle, burns out the British Era Fireplaces and now only reduced to more of a relics. It is now only left to enhance the decor of the these colonial bungalow.

Peace

Quite elegant design - a master piece indeed.

Hard to find in current time...old is gold

I love an old school fire place I want to get one installed in my new home that we are building but a more modern one with a flute I'm told is better as you can include electric heating that circulates the hot air around the house.

Beautiful and so relaxing.

The concept of fireplaces comes from tradional way....modification and new innovation simply making g the concept better in e ery possible way

A Fireplace is more than just an Architectural Decoration in earlier times

Indeed, as for me, I may not be living in a cold country I still find them very beautiful.

Still rather than burning woods in open or consuming heavy electricity on heater...this technique is far better
