Cool, I haven't seen a high level game before, all those levelled up card must open up so many more options. I tried joining a few cards together but it stays my summoners are too low. I think I need to save up for mylor to get out of bronze.

The summoners are definitely the bottleneck before you can use higher level cards. You can check what levels the card can use under the stats page for the summoner. In the case your league isn't high enough, your upper cap on your summoner will be whatever the league accepts.
