I hope you are all doing well,
Today I have been working in a very beautiful place, Canfranc (Spain), which is in the Perineos on the Spanish side. And I can only say that it is a wonderful place with imposing mountains that make you feel very small in front of such massifs.
After finishing my work in the underground laboratory, which is located in the old railway tunnel that used to connect Spain with France, I decided to visit one of the most interesting places in the village, the international railway station of Canfranc.
It turns out that it is not a station at all, but has been converted into a luxury hotel, where you can enter the hall and see how it has been transformed into a very special hotel.
Outside, I could see a lot of old equipment and tools used on the railways, like this kind of giant tap that was used to fill the steam engines with water.
Or various mechanisms for changing the points on the tracks, which were used at the time to improve the change of track for trains going to France, with the corresponding change of gauge.
For curiosity and originality, there was a pair of locomotives on the outside.
But in reality there is a luxury restaurant inside, which I could not enter as it was not lunch time when I visited, and I think there was an important person inside, as several of the windows had curtains to prevent the interior from being seen, and there were several security guards in the area.
As far as shadows are concerned, it has also been a good barn of photographs of shadows that I have liked a lot, especially the three that I present to you obtained on the outside pavement of the station/hotel provided by the metal structure that supports the windows that protect the pavement on rainy and snowy days that abound in this area in autumn and winter.
I hope you have enjoyed discovering how a railway station, abandoned and unused for years, has been transformed into a luxury hotel and open-air museum of the area's railway history.
Yours sincerely

Beautiful shadows and that old railway station / Hotel is magnificent. And of course so are the mountains.

I've always loved restorations, it's a smart idea to turn the old disused railway into an open-air museum. By the way, I was wondering who was in the restaurant :D I like the photo shoots, they look really good quality, I'm thinking of buying a camera too, would you recommend the Sony Alpha 6000L you use? Or do you have a different recommendation?
