Carwash Reflections
Hello everyone. This is my entry to the contest initiated by @galenkp for the Shadow Hunters Community which is open up till the 3rd of August 2021. As most of you who follow me know I have the enviable task of watering the garden every morning. It's one chore I look forward to everyday when I get the chance to see my water-loving Olive Back Sun Bird friend frisk and cavort under the water spray from the hose. Or when I get to observe the different reflections of the garden plants and flowers in the water pools that form on the ground. Or when my grandson joins me and insists on watering the plants his way which inevitably results in a good water soak for both of us. Working with pleasure!
But one other task I do about 2 or 3 times a week in the mornings which is the opposite of pleasure, at least for me, is the carwash. Aaarghs. This one I do not look forward to at all. But recently I realized this chore could just as well be enjoyable as watering the plants. "Why the change of heart?", you might ask. Well it's because I happened to notice the reflection on the car's hood and windshield shown in the photo below.
I was caught by surprise! I did not realize that the water on half of the car's hood had reflected the temple trees in the garden, the yellow bell flowers and even the sky while on the other half the garage's roof was reflected. My oh my. What fun this thing has turned out to be. So I started taking photos of the reflections on the car's wet hood.
The next photo shows the reflection while the water was being sprayed in the hood.
On the other side of the car, the reflections are of our 4 hanging potus plants with our neighbor's wall as backdrop.
And towards the car's front, reflections of our Dieffenbachia's or Dumb Cane plants.
I don't think carwash will ever be the same for me again. I am a certified Shadow Hunter and I enjoy hunting for shadows and now reflections as well. Now I know that even the most boring of tasks can turn out to be an exciting experience. Thanks @melinda010100 for inviting me here in the Shadow Hunters Community. Life has never been dull since.

Not nearly enough my friend. But I try my best to help in whatever way possible with the limited time I can devote to Hive. I struggle to do a post a day if you haven't noticed. Sometimes I can do engagement and upvoting. Most times it is just upvoting. I was hoping I might have a little bit more free time beginning 3rd quarter of the year but it is not to be as yet. But you'll know when it comes because you'll be seeing me in every post in the community 😄

Good day to you. Yes, I finally got a post in for the contest. We are so busy during our growing season, in fact we are on our way out to pick wild blueberries, they are so delicious and freeze really well. Last year we brought in 50 lbs., this year will probably be less, it's been a rainy summer, so picking has been shelved a lot of days. Can't fight mother nature.
