The Reflection in the Puddle
Here I am, entering another submission. Sometimes life gives us pauses, and other times it invites us to resume the path. I’m aware that I missed many entries, but I didn’t let this opportunity pass me by.
Sunday, September 14th—as shown in the date on the photograph—was a very cloudy day in the area where I live. I found it curious how the sky seemed to match the rhythm of the day, as if it too were swaying between light and shadow. Early in the morning, it rained for quite a while, then the sun came out and warmed the day, but later in the afternoon, it clouded over again. And just as I was waiting for my daughter on the main street of the neighborhood where I live, I spent a moment watching how those trees were reflected in a small puddle of water.
While talking with my wife and my other daughter, I told them I was going to step out of the car to take a photo. She understands because she knows I was taking the photo for this reflection activity. It’s not just about capturing an image, but about pausing to look with different eyes, to find meaning in what often goes unnoticed.
I really liked how the trees could be reflected in that puddle. It made me think about how, even in the smallest things, nature offers us mirrors to recognize ourselves. So I took several photos using zoom from 0.6x to 2x to get a closer look and see how all those trees were reflected.
I hope you enjoy my entry. Sometimes, a simple puddle is enough to remind us that beauty lies in simplicity—and that everything can reflect something if we know how to look.
El reflejo en el charco

Aquí estoy entrando nuevamente en una entrega, a veces la vida nos da pausas, y otras veces nos invita a retomar el camino, estoy consiente de que perdí muchas entradas, sin embargo, no deje de pasar esta oportunidad.
El día domingo 14 de septiembre tal y como aparece la fecha en la fotografía fue un día muy nublado por la zona donde yo vivo, me pareció curioso cómo el cielo parecía acompañar el ritmo del día, como si también estuviera en una especie de vaivén entre luz y sombra, temprano en la mañana llovió un buen rato luego salió el sol y logro calentar el día, pero luego nuevamente en la tarde todo se nubló, y justo mientras estaba esperando a mi hija, en la calle principal de la urbanización donde vivo, estuve viendo un rato como esos árboles se reflejaban en ese pequeño charco de agua.

Mientras hablaba con mi esposa y mis otra hija, le dije que iba a salir del auto para poder tomar una foto, ella lo entiende porque sabe que iba a tomar foto para esta dinámica de reflexión, no se trata solo de capturar una imagen, sino de detenerme a mirar con otros ojos, de encontrar sentido en lo que a veces pasa desapercibido.
Me gusto mucho como se podía reflejar los árboles en ese charco, me hizo pensar en cómo, incluso en lo más pequeño, la naturaleza nos ofrece espejos para reconocernos, así que tome varias fotografías utilizando desde 0.6 x hasta 2 x para poder ver desde cerca y como se puede ver el reflejo de todos esos árboles.

Espero que les guste mi entrada, a veces basta un charco para recordarnos que la belleza está en lo simple, y que todo puede reflejar algo si sabemos mirar.
