Right, you mentioned forest spirits, so forest spirits we shall discuss! You've heard of Leshy and Kikimora, I imagine. Lesser known are their children, the leshënki, and apparently, some people think that we chuyinki are leshënki, but this is not so. It is somewhat frustrating discerning fact from fiction in these dusty old books, since almost everything they say about us is dead wrong. Anyway, the next forest spirit I have to show you is one that I have actually encountered:

As for kisses, I suppose a peck on the cheek wouldn't hurt too bad... if you're comfortable doing the same to an amanita.

Whenever a mushroom girl releases spores, she grows a bit. Eventually, the spores will grow into other mushroom girls, and she will grow into a mushroom mother. I have no idea what the giant egg is about.

Ah, here it is! The mushroom man briefly appears at 2:45... except (spoilers!) he's actually something else. True mushroom people are, much like us chuyinki, only partially daemonic, therefore our shapeshifting ability is somewhat limited, and theirs appears to be totally nonexistent.

The final spirit I'd like to show you is the most mysterious. Mushroom people originate in the Blackwood, and first appeared after a brief rift storm that heralded the fall of Skhara. This is one is an entirely different kettle of fish that comes from the opposite end of the continent:

Very nice... and the music is quite good as well. Kaja tells me that she reminds him of his friend Míša and her dog Zeus. Though perhaps Shámi, the smaller dog, deserves a mention too:

Feed them raw meat. No, seriously, Zeus and Shámi get fresh chicken whenever I butcher a bird (heads, feet, tails, whatever I can't carve off the backs), they get bones from the deer I shoot, and those dogs are positively glowing whenever they see me. Zeus is surprisingly picky, and Míša tells me that he won't even eat commercial chicken anymore.
BTW what do you think of Russian cartoons from the 1950s?
Well dangit Kaja! I have been giving my hounds such things for years! Whenever we butcher anything they get carcass aplenty, not to mention I save all my steer bones for them. I now think they are hiding their cool glowing eyes on purpose lol!
Both Zeus and Misa sound like discriminating connoisseurs in the best way, I don't take kindly to public meat (as @jacobtothe refers to it) either.
I don't have an opinion on Russian cartoons from the 50's, as I don't think I have ever viewed any, and now I feel like my education is a bit lacking. Why do you ask?

Public meat, that's a good one! I will have to tell Míša about that, she'd certainly appreciate it. BTW, the reason I ask about Russian cartoons is because I linked to one in the post (right below Noya holding a film reel). Ореховый Прутик is one of many that I have on VHS.
