WIT at Max Supply. Due to an error in token setup, the WIT token has printed its maximum supply of 10 million tokens. This means that there will be no more WIT awarded through the curation/rewards pool mechanism. Our full story follows the delegation report and Market Updates.

There will be no change in the CCC-WIT-CCC delegation payouts as a result of WIT reaching max supply.

Four new investors joined our team this week, and 24 increased the size of their delegation. Our total delegations now stand at 1,755,732 CCC from 126 delegators.

One of the new investors, @silentbot, signed on at the 10,000 CCC delegation threshold to immediately begin receiving our CCC-WIT-CCC payout trifecta.

The APR for CCC delegations to @cccf is variable (based on the average monthly price of CCC): the rate for January is 28 percent.

Market Updates

The purpose of the Creative Coin Fund is to provide the artists of Hive with a substantial CCC upvote, and to make that vote meaningful by supporting the steadily rising price of Creative Coin.

We're supporting the price of CCC with three mechanisms:

The daily market purchase is a market order for CCC of 10 to 15 Hive daily.

Through February 10: minimum 10 Hive

The base buy-in order is a limit order meant to establish the price support for the market. The buy-in order is updated weekly on Thursdays.

Order Size: 174 Hive for 55,500 CCC

The daily limit order is a buy set daily at a price above the base buy-in order.

Current Price: .003151
Order Size: 12.18 Hive for 3,866 CCC

We have 42.5 Hive set aside to add to the buy-in order when it is updated on Thursday. Once again, we have not purchased any CCC with the buy-in this week, so are well positioned to meet our objective: to raise our price and increase the order size. We will evaluate the market on Thursday to determine our new buy-in price, and we will continue to post our new price through D.Buzz so that the community has the opportunity to collaborate with us in raising the price by not selling to our buy-in order.

Our strategy with the daily limit order and the daily market purchase is under review. There is strong demand in the market (and relatively low volume) right now, and we haven't purchased as much as we would like to with the daily limit order. We will likely be more fluid with the placement of that order going forward (which probably means higher bids with the daily limit order ... sweet!).

We have already been more fluid with the daily market purchase, varying the amount of Hive we use for that according to the amount of CCC on offer in the sell wall. At times, we might pull from the daily limit order to increase the market order ... the bottom line is that the Fund's demand for CCC has gone up with our new payout structure, and we're bringing that demand to the market.

And, the CCC price continues to trend upward. We haven't calculated the average for January yet, but none of the closing prices are below average, so for the second month in a row, the monthly average price of Creative Coin is going to increase!

WIT Update

This week, we noticed that our curation rewards for WIT, which had been substantial, slowed down and then stopped completely. Upon investigation, the WIT team discovered that there was an error made during token setup. So many tokens were being added to the daily reward pool that the maximum supply of 10 million WIT were printed in the first month of the token's release.

This means that there will be no more WIT awarded through curation. The token is available for purchase through Hive Engine, and, of course, delegators who meet our 10,000 CCC threshold receive weekly payouts in WIT along with their CCC payouts.

There will be no change to the CCC-WIT-CCC payout structure. Delegators who meet the 10,000 CCC delegation threshold will continue to receive WIT for their CCC delegation to @cccf, and the Fund will continue to award CCC for staked WIT.

To continue to distribute WIT as a reward for well-written literature, the WIT team is considering a transition to a tipping bot that can be used by WIT token holders. As a major WIT holder, the Creative Coin Fund will look to participate in that form of distribution when it is in place.

In the meantime, we are going to use our WIT to award writers directly. Artists who are featured in our curation weekly, The Five, currently receive a 1,000 CCC award. Those who are included in The Five for their writing (usually fiction or poetry, but all forms of #creativecoin writing are eligible for selection) will now receive 1,000 WIT in addition to their Creative Coin award.

We are also going to add 5,000 WIT to our sponsorship of Spanish Literature Curator @jesuspsoto's biweekly short story contest, beginning with the next edition.

We believe that it is fundamentally necessary, if Hive is to remain a home for bloggers and become a home for competent literary writers, that quality writing be substantially rewarded. We will continue to work with the WIT team and support the WIT token as an additional financial reward for #creativecoin writers.
