This is a nice entry, you explained so well how much you love reading even with the obstacles to stop you from reading.
Meeting those books at your boss's place abroad is just so amazing, you got back to reading and have a lot to cover.
I have had that thought numerous times as well, wanting to change a character's play in a book to end in my own way.
